What are the first documented uses of GHB?

I'm saying when was the frist time it was mentioned as a recreational substance?

What was the first reference to this fact?

When was the earliest time people realized GBL was able to be used recreationally?

I guess I am looking for the origins of this,I know GHB was discovered
in the 60's but when was GBL first synthesized and used industrially
and when was the first point it was realized it could be consumed?
