Airing extracts without spoiling:
Dear madams and sirs,
I have recently become rather interested in skipping cheesecloth, lumps of green half-potent clumps of passiflora, wormwood and pipe tobacco.
I would like to find out information about the following:
Is there ANY way to circumvent the deliberate tightening of bottles/receptacles/etc. used in making extracts by allowing open room air flow? With the lid off.
I've tried this before with all three aforementioned legal substances and SWIM may or may not have done the same with SWIM's less legal whatsits.
Is there any tips that you kind ladies and gentlemen can provide as to aerating open jars, flasks and beakers? How big of a factor is surface area, room temperature, dryness, etc.?
I currently have TWO high powered Ionic breeze air filters and a reasonably large closet space to keep things isolated. My intentions are to let the process accelerate founded sheerly upon the fact that ethanol content is being vaporized faster.
Please, please, purty-please include any suggestions about open bottle extraction aeration. I'm basically seeing how quick I can make this without deliberate flame-heat intervention.
Also, what is the highest, and I mean highest concentration of NON-BENZENE FIXED (durrr...) alcohol (ethanol) that can be purchased online/at a liquor store, maybe? I don't buy the idea that grain liquor has reached the highest ethanol gradient without there being another brand, somewhere over the rainbow, that is even more "desiccating."
Thanks a bunch.
