Face swell after MS IV

Swim is experienced in this and took an average size dose, but the rush seemed more intense, especially the feeling of pulsing from the head down to the fingertips. Felt like swims face was puffing so swim looked in the mirror for a goof and it was swelling pretty good. after a few minutes it reduced to bags under the eyes.

Never happened before, no known allergies. possibly the brand? Swim usually has something different, but nothing consistent. they were 30 mg Morphine Sulfate from Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Inc. LV on one side 930 on the other. white oval. Took 4 at once but can handle it usually no prob.

Any ideas? Maybe something on the $ bill used to crush it? New allergy? Good batch? q tip?

when you say MS , I guess your talkin' Morphine Sulfate contin, and those pills are made with so many inactive ingredients that you can not really filter out.

hence the reaction. those pills arent easy to bang.

Yes MS is Morphine Sulfate. Swim talked to a friend who said she had the same reaction once from an avinza, as did a friend of hers. but had no idea why and they are both regular users... so apparently it wasnt the brand.

Im guessing swim had a minor od, even though he is an avid user and is used to more than that. Possibly the reaction was caused by a lack of sleep? Swim was very tired from a very long double shift and not much sleep the night before.

MSContin IV is simple, by crushing melting in a ml of injectable water using a spoon. Filter out binders with 1/5th of a cigarette butt cut off in a ring to form a filter for sucking up the solution into the insulin syringe. Repeat this filtering process again by injecting the first filtered product into a new spoon and than using another filter and syringe.

Be sure and let the solution cool to room temperature before injecting.... Ouch!

If you are injecting Morphine HCL (Hydrochloride) it will make you swell instantly with out proper dilution and extremely slow injection.

Always remind labrats, pills are NOT meant to be injected, but swallowed! Injecting pills is very dangerous, and can cause all kinds of nasties like deep vain trombosis, clogging of arteries and damage to the heart, to name a few. Please only inject pure drugs, or look here.
