Health - smoking tar and your throat?

SWIM enjoys smoking H he enjoys the taste f tar like he likes the taste of certain beer or cigarette (rarely does either tho) and basically likes to smoke once a week usually on weekends a day or 2 in a row. usually Saturday and/or Sunday. He has done it for a week usually .2 a day or.4 once or twice but his usual is .4 for 2 days or .2 for 1 on his weekly session.

SWIMs question though is no matter your regiment or mine does smoking H do damage to the throat? if so is it worse than a cigarette or a joint or where can SWIM find some information on the effects on the throat and maybe mouth?
