I suppose that they they see it as that if they legalised it then people would think it is safe to use. If people abused it as much as a lot of people abuse alcohol then there would be loads of people wrecked all the time and the government dont want everyone to be like that. Less people would go into further education and it could have an impact on the countries economy. I suppose they may also think taht it may encourage people to move onto harder drugs. Personally i think that i am responsible enough to make up my own mind and dont think that it should bea criminal offence for me to want to use ecstacy as i am not harming anyone.

It's pretty dangerous if you do it a lot or if you don't
do it carefully and as matti_2003 said, people would assume it's safer if it was legal. I already know of plenty of people who think its safe and won't believe me when I tell them that they'll get e-tarded if they do a lot of it. It's basically illegal because of people who aren't capable of making good decisions.</font> |

Gah.
I went to a stand up comedy show a while back, the guy addressed this issue.. Yeah, its true, whenever you pop a pill, do a line of coke, smoke some hash, its a middle finger to the law, its a middle finger to the Government and that is bloody satisfying ![]() Also, if you could buy it in the shops, you'd get poncy irritating people in front of you in the queue asking irritatng questions, like "oOOh, shopkeep, is this Ecstasy Organic? Were any animals harmed in the production of it?". No-one wants that. ![]() |

mdma has found itself to b an a class drug and schedule one in the us because of deficient reasons from deficient politicians. the practicalities of mdma have never been studied enough in order to scientifically control the drug correctly. instead of allowing controlled research and tests to take place they simply blanketed the entire scope around it and made it illegal, thus pushing it into the underworld where dodgy chemists and indecent maniacs produce halfbaked pills that are full of substances probably more neurotoxic than mdma itself. until the government realises that studies have to be conducted in order to guarantee one way or another the way in which mdma is used, it will always be dangerous due to the uncertainty of what you actually taking. try telling a politician that though.. |
