Stupid names for K: "Donkey Dust"
I've heard some fucking stupid names for drugs but I think K seems to get the worst. People at a rave the other day were calling it "donkey dust". Is there a worse name for any drug?

Strange Nicknames, Descriptions of Ketamine
Swim has not used ketamine, but is interested in experiencing it at some point in her life. She finds it fascinating how people who haven't been around or used certain substances perceive illegal substances and their users, and the words and phrases that become common among the different groups/communities when attempting to convey information on drug effects, experiences, etc. can say a lot about where the writer/speaker is coming from, both their geography/cultural background and perhaps more importantly their ideology.
Anyways, swim was recently browsing some pretty hilarious anti-drug articles and found particularly vivid and seemingly hilarious descriptions particularly of ketamine users, effects, and slang. Interested to hear any input on these quotes, and/or any other funny and/or relevant quotes from anti-drug propaganda or any other sources, really, that portray the ketamine experience in a funny, unique, blatantly false, or just completely accurate fashion. I especially hate how all of these supposed slang drug names they come up with include other drugs' names, as though they all have to be linked somehow (and of course, most described effects on such propaganda sites and literature have to use some sort of comparison- seems like it's either "like LSD" or "like ecstasy" lol, not too creative)- drug users are too efficient about their drugs to do something this dumb with their slang terms; why mix up perfectly good and unique drugs by calling oxycodone "hillbilly heroin" or ketamine "Super acid" or "Special La Coke!?" Come on, please tell me that isn't the terminology your swims use for Ketamine?? Oh and "God?" The intertwining of religious and drug imagery seems to be an interesting subject of consideration, seems to pop up on occasion. Read and learn, lol: "This ability to induce a lack of awareness to the environment is the effect abusers crave. It is NOT a “take home” drug that a vet would “prescribe” or give to a pet owner. Don’t fall for the line, “Oh, my vet gave it to me for my cat.” "Amnesia may be present for one to two hours. A dose of just 0.07 grams of powder may produce common symptoms of intoxication and a mechanical buzzing in the user’s ears. Users of 0.2 grams may enter the mellow, colorful “K-land,” while 0.5 grams is more likely to take you to the “K-Hole,” with out-of-body, near death encounters, hallucinations and delirium, etc. Effects usually last an hour or less, but judgement, coordination and senses may be affected for 18 to 24 hours." Most commonly called Ket, K or Special K, it may also be referred to as Green (apparently for the green label on the Ketajet box). Other names include 1980 Acid, Super C, Vitamin K, Super Acid, Special LA Coke, Baby Food (users sink into blissful, infantile inertia) and God (because users often are convinced they have met their maker), Jet (Texas), Honey Oil, Blast, and Gas. A dose is called a “bump.” The K-hole is where you go when on it. K-head is a user. Calvin Klein refers to a combo of cocaine and ketamine. Product 19 refers to a combo of MDMA and ketamine." (from the GHB Project's Ketamine section) -------------------------------------------------------- "Use of Special K can result in profound physical and mental problems including delirium, amnesia, impaired motor function and potentially fatal respiratory problems" Ket = Ketamine Kit kat = Ketamine Kitty flipping = Use of ketamine and MDMA Purple = Ketamine Special "K" = Ketamine Special la coke = Ketamine Super acid = Ketamine Super C = Ketamine Vitamin K = Ketamine (from the "anti-drug" US government site for parents) Last edited by moda00; 12-05-2008 at 01:12. |

Re: Outside Looking In- views on ketamine use
My sloth has only ever referred to is as "K".
However, he did read a book called "Disco Bloodbath". A very interesting read about a serial murderer on the scene of a group of K-head transvestite clubbers, and that group seemed to have all sorts of wierd names for it (This scene did (does?) exist). I blame them! |

Btw, "Don't fall for the line, 'My vet gave it to me for my cat.'" ![]() And "Green?" At least where I come from that means herb.. how do these people get it so twisted? Always interesting, what people who have never experienced drugs come up with to explain their nature and effects.. Quote:

Re: Stupid names for K: "Donkey Dust"
Swim has heard it called regretamine, but never for the reason you stated.. (without mentioning prices, K isnt exactly the most expensive drug out there).. But because there are alot of users who dont enjoy the experience, or more than often snort a line larger than they intended, and immediately regret it!

Re: Stupid names for K: "Donkey Dust"
last year a uk newspaper conducted a survey about drug use in the uk and the consequent article reported about "new drugs such as CKone".... which is of course a line of coke mixed with ketamine... not exactly a drug in itsself.

Re: Stupid names for K: "Donkey Dust"
"My vet gave it to me for my cat", eh? Where the fuck do people get ideas like that?
Regretamine - I know people who call it that, usually they bang on about how they don't like K and then as soon as someone has any they're scavenging for lines. I heard "wonkey donkey" as well; I think that's where "donkey dust" came from. SWIM tells me that K combines well with MDMA and coke. Mix them all up and make cocktail lines - worked well on a New Year's party a few years ago. |
