This question is mainly for the people who own and maintain this site,
but I guess anyone can answer. I was wondering if anyone has ever gotten legal threats, or gotten contacted by some form of law enforcement over what is said and listed on this website. Or possibly gotten in trouble only to get in deeper cause they have said things here. |

Isn't it legal to talk about things as long as it's all hypothetical and such?</font>

Thats true but not everyone uses hypotheticals, also this site contains
a sources section which many law enforcement agencies would like ot have a look at. |

I think most are using hypotheticals, ie talking about their friend swim, when discussing something that could be of interest to a cop. When people are talking about themselves, most of what is being discussed is things they've done. Cops can't bust you because you did dope last weekend when the cops were no where around. Your only gonna get arrested if you have something on you when the cops show up, and like i think i said before (sorry if i'm repeating myself) the cops aren't going to waste government time and money to hunt down some casual users. they're there to go after the big movers, not people who've got a gram or too lying around. if they wanted to make little busts they'd hit up the corners in the ghettos where fiend are trying to score. not go on a big search to hunt down all of us around the country chatting about drugs online. and alfa has anti-dealing software now which i think will help keep cops from looking around to much. just my two cents. and also the sources forum is for where to buy LEGAL products, as i understand it. |

Good Question!!!!
I would really appreciate feedback from Alfa regarding this. It has weighed on my mind, heavily at times, for the entire year or so I've been here. I sincerely think we should be warned so we can make a choice!!! Why will no one answer who knows??? (I think I figured out why, about 3 posts down )Edited by: manda

A friend of mine started a free email service (which is now for $$$). In 2 years and a peak membership of 3000 he has been supeniaed twice by another countire. Since these were ebay fraud investigations he complied. But I'm sure this site would be more of a moral decision as tocomply or not.

Well, I doubt the admins. would still run this bitch if cops were breaking down his door, asking for records. I don't think he's dumb enough to let this site go down for illegal activity.
I guess from Alfa's point of view if people break the ONE MAJOR RULE he has, they are not caring about how it will reflect on him. The anti-dealing p.m. checking software was just installed- after years of warning. Personally, if the cops were watching here, they're reading posts to see who knows the most, from every country. I don't think they can bust Alfa as all he has here is a discussion site, with specialized software to detect law-breakers immediately. In short, what else could the poor man do??? But here's my point- The reason we're getting the freeze regarding this issue is probably because if he told us what we all pretty much know, yes, the cops watch here, it would probably really freak people out, and people would quit. Forgive me for speaking for Alfa, but I think his simple "no-dealing" rule was intended to protect everyone here. I don't think he's that excited about installing the no-deal software, either, he probably had no choice. Hopefully, this way he is covered- As he should be, he's kept this forum running and legal since the beginning. We all have a lot of loyalty to you, Alfa. Personally, I thank you for the forum- many times over. I've talked to a lot of people on here, but never to anyone I could just tell my deepest troubles to, along with my feelings, and get such thoughtful replies. When my grandfather died recently, I wrote Alfa first, before I told others in my life how I felt. I have trusted Alfa with a lot of info. that really was stupid to share to anyone, but I don't regret doing so. Shy, great sense of humour, respectful, highly intelligent, highly motivated, hard-working, and kind- these are a few of the words I'd use to describe our administrator. I went thru a really hectic time, and Alfa gently said my life sounded rather chaotic, others just drank my booze... Yeah, I'll put my name next to his and vouch for his honesty and integrity- I thought about the last year and he has proved himself to me by creating something so beautiful, that we all have a respected voice. Notice no one treats each other shabbily here- that's what a good group this forum attracts. Personally, if you are a cop wanting to stop this forum or take down people in it, shouldn't you go bust people who are kidnapping children, or raping minors? You don't want kids to be exposed to dangerous things on the 'Net, well, just look up roped and raped or bondage on the net and you will see girls cut all over, girls tied up so tight their skin is blue, sites that claim to show real rapes... I've done the alcohol for a long time. I got raped as a minor once, then assaulted by the person giving me a ride home. That night was worse than all my negative alcohol experiences combined, and holds me back still. Also, if you are a cop and you are watching, why not join and share what the police hopes to do to clean up the 'Net. Why not post and let us know what the red flags are to you guys, so we know what isn't appropiate to discuss on-line. If you cops joined up, telling us you were cops, I bet you would be asked so many intelligent, respectful questions you wouldn't believe it. So, undercovers, join up!! Your jobs are interesting, and letting us know what you're looking to take down would be educational and coming straight from the horses mouth. If here anyway come out and be a member. Post your opinions, tragedies you've seen and what caused them. How could that possibly hurt either side, if we all communicated towards protecting youths, reducing violent crime, rallied against hard-core internet filfth, and finally found a common ground. Personally, it would make my day to see this forum expand and accept law enforcement officials, so we could have the benefit of their experience, and ask questions!!! I think any officers that got to know the members would be suprised and happy at how willing we would be to stop anything they deemed inappropiate. But if they don't tell us, we will never know how we can help make the 'Net safer for us all. Everyone, let's all work together- and let it be known that we'd rather have undercovers in the group, educating us, then in the shadows, unseen. We all know you're here. So talk with us. Give us a chance before judging this forum as something that needs police surveilance. How would you all on the forum react to cops joining and getting to ask questions, learn things, and be informed of what's cool to post, and what's targeted immediately? That sort of meeting of the minds could be historical. Or do you guys think I'm wrong for suggesting this? Edited by: manda |

I agree with manda that some of the readers will be cops and even some
of the posters. The good news is that most countries have laws against entrapment so if a cop has to encourage you to commit an illegal activity or lie to you then they are no longer a valid witness. This does not mean that they could tip off another cop that could go through the proper formal process to have you investigated (as in email taped, ebay/paypal sniffed out, etc.). BTW Ebay/Paypal have the pollicy of releasing any info that cops ask for. The promiss no privacy from the cops. This said Ebay and Paypal are so busy that your transaction should be a needle in a haystack unless you make it stand out like 600$ going to some essential oil dist. |

If there were any undercover cops who said who they
were, I'm pretty sure lots of people would ask intelligent questions & be very interested in whatever information the cops have. I basically agree with everything that manda said on this topic, it sounds like a pretty good idea.</font> |

As anyone can figure ofcourse sites like these are watched. Ofcourse there will be entrapment on every forum. How easy is it to write someone and then bust the person? But that's nothing to worry about, because breaking the law on the internet is comparable to hanging a 2 by 4 banner on your house declaring how you broke the law and that this is your house. Nothing less. Only thing is different is that you can take the banner down yourself, without it beying archived. I wish everyone would look into the concept SWIM before the first post and stay save. And those dealing on the net are just plain stupid. No offense.

I honestly think it would be cool to have actual cops on boards like
this giving honest to god straight unbiased answers without fear of any legal repercussions and same goes for doctors, it would be cool to get real unbiased medical info. |

I've seen a doctor post, but I, like you, wish we had more medical, law-enforcement, and perhaps even legal profesionals here as well.
The idea of talking to real cops, on a level such as this, gets me really excited about how this forum could grow and just be on fire. I guess the next step would be to post a new topic, asking if any professionals in these fields are present and willing to help? The next step would be contacting various agencies and requesting their help. I have a class at our community center next week, I will ask my college-educated friends how a feat like this could be achieved with little or no overhead, and I'll take down notes. Now, no more info. for S.W.I.M. A brief chronic break seems in order- see, if we had officers here, S.W.I.M. could ask if saying "A brief chronic break" is harmless or do they see it as glamorizing drug use in a forum where teems are possibly present? Unfortuanly half the people who say they are doctors aren't and the other half of the time doctors don't say they are doctors.

swim made the mistake of printing selected useful information on topics
related to drug manufacturing--those printings are now evidence in the prosecutions case of endeavering to manufacture among other charges |

I bet that any cop watching this site is a US cop. Eurocops really canīt care less. Not because they are a better crowd but there is a lot less moralist pressure on them.
as for any of them joining the forum and receive intelligent questions I bet thatīs exactly what scares the shit outta the morons Manda : what you said about Alfa is my opinion too And I have been reading his stuff only for a couple of days. I think I told him as much in some other thread. Do you think he really is 95 years old? Naww Swim made his biggest mistake when reaching the age of consent didīnt move away from the land of the free. Poor swim. I would like to know something more about that story too . America never ceases to amaze me. I would never ask him though.Maybe a day he will post the story and my shameful curiosity will be sated. Maybe he never will . I will understand it. I reccommend everyone to use a proxy for your browser, it's easy to set
up, just goto your browsers options , look for proxy , and put the IP address in , for the specified port, click ok then re-start your browser. Free Proxies using a proxy , protects your real IP address (the unique number that connects your computer to the internet). to make sure your proxy is working correctly .. http://www.whatsmyip.com |
