poppy tea idea

Swim was wondering if one was to grind up dried poppy pods, and run them through the coffee pot, same as if one was making coffee, maybe even run it through several times, if that would have the desired effect?

Re: poppy tea idea

Yes, this process has been used before with success, but SWIM doubts the whole mass of alkaloids would be extracted. Maybe if SWIY stirred the grinds in between each run of the coffee machine he would have a better chance of extracting a higher amount of alkaloids.

Re: poppy tea idea

yeah, thats what my friends, friend wus telling me. That he was gonna "stir the pot" between each brew. Rebrew it several times, then enjoy. He seems to think that since coffee dosent come out boiling, the morphine should remain in tact. He was wondering if anyone had ever tried this before??

Re: poppy tea idea

On erowid.org in the poppy vault there is a link to methods of making p. tea. One person found the coffed maker method that SWIY described to be the most effective method. SWIM sticks to the hot water steep method with good results. To each his own.

Re: poppy tea idea

This question has been asked a million times over. One is wondering why people do not look at the text that is right in front of them.

There is a thread entitled "poppy tea preparation" in the stickies right at the top of the thread section, SWIyou cant miss it.

One was rather blunt and slaps himself in the head for it.

To answer SWIyour questions properly and in a helpful manner one will follow up as such:

1] yes SWIyour theoretical method will work.

2] running through a few times would produce a better theoretical result.

3] reduction of liquid volume afterwards would also theoretically make for a better result.

4] the Ice-o-lation technique performed on the solution would also reduce the volume of liquid to be consumed in a hypothetical environment.

One can take it even further into the realms of CFO. But that is preference and also time consuming. CFO is for the patient scientist and not the "i want it now" type of theoretical SWIMMMER.

Hope this has been of help and much apologies for how SWIMs other post sounded.

Welcome to the forum

Re: poppy tea idea

actualy swim did read that thread, it said very little about answering his question. Look guys, I'm still very new to computers. I dont mean to offend you guys with my questions. I did a search and didnt find the info swim wanted. I'm sorry about all the dumb questions, I'll try not to post so much. Thanks for your time.

Re: poppy tea idea

Don't feel too bad, mate, I'm new too. The way to get the best out of this forum is basically to make sure you've been through Samurai's posts and The Improved Guide for "flake - cooked" Opium, especially - please vote for it to become sticky as well. That mamouth discussion covers a huge range of topics and even if the intention isn't to go all the way to CFO, the method of making the original solution (poppy tea) is the best by far. Believe me, most of the answers are in there.

Even though it's long, it's worth it - everything else will make a lot more sense if you know it.

Re: poppy tea idea

SWIM is trying this method and will report back. This is the first time SWIM has ever made poppy tea. SWIM used 5 golfball sized heads/stems.

Re: poppy tea idea

Well swim reported to me that he took 8 med heads, crushed them, boiled them in 2 cups of water with the juice of one lemon added. never let temp rise above 80. cooked for 30 mins, let it cool, strained it, poured in on ice and drank it. And nothing at all. Got 17 more heads left, swim's trying to decide what to do with the rest.

Re: poppy tea idea

Hmm, in making tea, SWIM would say the temprature range that works best is between 50 and 65 degrees and kept that way for 3 hours with the heads ground into the finest dust SWIY can get. Sometimes it can be left to steep overnight and then heated to filter.

Also, if you think the heads are weak, put about 20g - 30g per litre of water.

Re: poppy tea idea

SWIM tried 5 pods last night, but fell asleep before anything happened because of the xanax he was on. SWIM ground up 7 pods this morning along with the seeds inside. Ran it through a coffee maker 3 times. And feels great. He drank it around 8 am this morning and is now and work feeling pretty good. He has a high opiate tolerance, but still feels really great. He will try CFO later maybe. And defiantly make more tea.
