Adderall tolerance due to OTC Sleep meds??

SWIM has a pretty bad case of insomnia and takes about 100mg of Diphenhydramine HCl (which is found in almost all OTC Sleep meds) each night to help him fall asleep. SWIM has been doing this for the past couple of months on a pretty routine basis. Recently, SWIM tried using Adderall for his studies for the first time since he started his OTC Sleep med habits, and noticed that the adderall hardly affected him. He tried using adderall over the next few days and realized that it no longer has much of an affect. This is odd because before using the sleep meds, SWIM could take 5-10mg of Adderall and study for countless hours. SWIM hardly EVER uses adderall so he knows his tolerance hasnt developed due to over using/abusing adderall, but perhaps the Diphenhydramine HCl has indirectly increased his tolerance to adderall.

Basically, do any of you knowledgeable members know if Diphenhydramine HCl increases tolerance to adderall? thanks.
