Injecting - injection question

I recently done some research and decided i would try my first injection. Ok i started off with a small amount and pulled back and seen blood and my girl injected me quickly. So now my problem is i just wasted a good line and i have a buldge under my skin that resembles a bruise. So my questions: would her injecting it quickly have caused the problem? #2 My other question is all i could find is 22 gauge needles, are those to big, because i read you are supposed to use a 29 or 30. Lastly she didnt untie the belt before injection because we was so worried about proper vein placement. Could the belt still tight on my arm play a factor in my miss. I just wanna know the cause if it was the size of my needle, or because we didnt undo the belt before injection, or both?? And can a successfull shot be done with a 22 gauge 1" long needle. Sorry one more ? my needles say 1, 2, 3 cc's Im worried i didnt use enough water. Grateful for any advice

Look sorry for not using swim. Ok but swim needs an answer. Everyone else gets responses why not this post. I mean if you take the time to read swims thread then you might as well reply please

Hey man, I've been whacking up on and off for years so I think I'll be able to answer your questions.

Q1. would her injecting it quickly have caused the problem?

A: Unlikely as you can only inject as quick as the gauge will allow and this is usually quite slow, although you did say you used a large gauge so it is possible. Best to do it slowly though.

Q2. all i could find is 22 gauge needles, are those to big, because i read you are supposed to use a 29 or 30.

A: The bigger the needle point the harder it is to find a vein I find. I'm not sure of the gauge but I find regular 1ml diabetes fits (the ones used in fitpacks in Australia) are the best to use.

Q3. Lastly she didnt untie the belt before injection because we was so worried about proper vein placement. Could the belt still tight on my arm play a factor in my miss.

A: In my opinion this was the reason for your miss. Tourniquead(sic) veins may be easier to find but they are harder to hit. This is because it makes the vein go from side to side being pushed by the needle instead of being punctured (don't ask me why). Always best to inject untourniquead if possible.

A: I find I use about 1/2 of 1ml (cc) for all my injections as this dosent fill the syringe full after you've mixed up. When it's full it's much harder to shoot up succesfully (harder to pull the plunger back)

Also learn how to do it yourself. You'll hit the vein much more easily in my opinion.

If swiu is just starting swim has some advice for you... Swim has been taking Amph for 12-14 years but only using I.V. for 6 months. Had a couple of problems using the big 2ml barrels and the monster microlance tips Swim's brother uses for Groin injections *shudders still* (Thats what a heroin habit leaves you with, as Citric Acid batters the fuck out of your veins and swiu will find they dissapear in a short time - BAD)

So..

Use the 1ml Insulin pins, fresh ones, out of the packet.

Cook up your Amphet with about 30-50 units clean distilled water pref from an ampoule we get here in the UK. (SWIM will bang up to a gram a time as his tolerance is shocking and the Amph Sulph is usually no more than 15% pure MAX until he learns his meth synth ..) a little more if there is less speed or it is powdery rather than pasty.

Draw up through a small piece of cig filter or cotton bud tip, And flick with needle pointing up and push out ALL the air.

If SWIU has not been doing it long veins shouldn't be difficult to find, grip your arm between your knees, that should help em pop up.

Swab the best looking area with Alcohol swab and stick in at a shallow angle. Bevel up.

Draw back slightly to get a small amount of blood in the sryinge, This indicates you have the needle in the vein. Release the pressure on your arm/tourniquet and draw back again a little to check it's still in there.

Push the hit in SLOWLY. If you feel pain its likely you've slipped out of the vein. Pull out slightly until blood shoots into the sryinge again, and continue. If it still hurts try another vein.

Pull out carefully and clean with alchohol swab, hold it there for a short time, small gauge needles shouldn't bleed much, the bigger ones can.

Flush the needle with cold clean water, and dispose of into your "sin bin". If needles are in short supply SWIM would recommend cleaning the needle itself with an alcohol swab, and pulling back a little clean iso alcohol into the barrel to keep bugs at bay, but, ideally SWIU should use fresh works EVERY time.

Don't hammer the same site too much or the vein WILL collapse through scar tissue build up. They need to rest. SWIM has been IVing AMPH SULP every day for the past six months and still has veins that stick out like a bodybuilders lol. Cos SWIM don't need citric all swims heroin addict friends say.

Careful though, its hard to go back to doing it any other way after that.
