Barbour County Sheriff’s investigators arrested two Clayton women on multiple charges after a traffic stop near Clayton Friday, according to a statement by Chief Deputy Eddie Ingram.
Lashunda Kacshae Fenn, 22, and Marquita Shanta Person, 24, were each charged with possession of marijuana, endangering the welfare of a child, and tampering with physical evidence. Person was also charged with resisting arrest.
“The deputy smelled marijuana emanating from the vehicle interior immediately upon his approach to the car and observed Fenn, the driver, in the process of eating a small amount of marijuana,” the statement said. “A very young juvenile passenger was found in possession of several grams of marijuana that was apparently handed over by the adults for the juvenile to conceal when the deputy initiated the traffic-stop.”
Deputy Sheriff Paul Motzenbecker stopped the vehicle driven by Fenn around 9 p.m. on Alabama Highway 51 near Clayton. Fenn was being held on a $21,000 bond and Person on an $18,000 bond at the Barbour County Jail. The 13-year-old boy was turned over to relatives.
"Our number-one priority is to protect our children, and when we find any juvenile in this type of situation the adults can expect to be arrested and prosecuted,” Sheriff Leory Upshaw said. “We're not going tolerate any adult having drugs around kids.”

Pretty fucked up pawning the weed off on the kid to try and save their asses. Now swim thinks that they probably didn't mean for him to get busted or anything like that, but it seems that something like that might stick with a child and possibly be recalled later in life when the child realizes what was actually going on when mommy handed them a baggie with green stuff in it.
