high blood pressure meds and codeine

Swim is taking propranolol and altace daily for high bp.
He also enjoys a codeine buzz occasionaly (2 or 3 times a week)
Swim finds that he requires only a very small dose. He does a cwe on 10 tylenol w codeine (300/15/8) and not only does he get a nice buzz, it lasts for a good 5 or 6 hours. (especialy if he doses right before eating)
Sometimes it works better than others of course, but is pretty consistant.

So might this be the combination of codeine and bp meds or is he just lucky?

Should he be concerned his bp might go too low? (he does no grapefruitjuice is a no,no with altace)
