recrystallization failed!!!

hi all, in fact im currently facing a situation here which im truly looking for your help.

im having a liquid base meth which i've tried push/pull for number of times and even adding ice cube and salt which didnt seem making any effects on crystallization. have u ever face this kind of weird situation or even heard? what is the option for me in order to get the meth into crystal?

What? Is SWIY trying to crystalize your meth freebase? or are you trying to make your powder meth into crystals?

if what you have really is meth freebase all you need to do is gass it with the gas of choice
HCL or hydrogen sulfide
that will yield powder meth

you might have too much solvent.. you only need to use the minimum amount.. if this is the case evaporate some off and try again. if this still isn't working try scratching the bottom of the flask. for some reason this can induce a response. i don't know what your doing with an ice cube and salt...

takes fresh cooked meth and recrystallizing it to yield bigger chucks of meth no poweder

is there any book, or web pages i can read more about it? I know there are book posted in this forum, and a few web pages link, but the books is too formal for general amphetamine, and the web pages link from here is dead.... Plz give me more ideas, just cuirous that all thankz

just taking meth dissolving it in warm alcohol and then adding acetone...not much to it

basically SWIY is taking your crude meth (that is meth + impurities) and trying to purify as much as possible. these are the steps involved in recrystallisation:
1: dissolve in a hot alcohol solution to dissolve the meth.
2: filter the hot solution to remove insoluble purities
3: let the solution cool. this allows the meth to precipitate out (turn to solid). so here SWIY will have the solid meth in the alcohol solution which also contains impurities that are soluble in the alcohol.
4: filter this solution to leave SWIY with pure crystal meth.

there is a lot of opportunity to lose the product in the filter paper so make sure that the solution in step 2 is hot as it runs through the filter in to the flask.

hey thug thats not a recrystallization thats mearly a single solvent crystallization,....

SWIM has always been taught that this is a recrystallisation. does the alcohol/acetone allow for polar/non-polar impurities to be removed?

yes techniqly it is a recrystallization...but it is a single solvent recrystallization as to where the denatured alcohol and acetone one is a dual solvent thus giving you twice as pure product....
umm if the non polar impurites arent coming out do a non polar wash with some toluene or xylene
