How long before taking the first pill should SWIM take magnesium...

I've searched the threads, and found a little information on taking magnesium to help with jaw clenching, but I could not find how much magnesium to take, and when to take it before rolling. I'm sorry if this has already been posted, but like I said, I searched the threads, and couldn't find out the info that SWIM needs.

A few ravers I knew took their mg supplements 2-3 hours prior to dropping whatever they were taking later. SWIM never took any so he can't give any anecdotal evidence to support the practice.

Magnesium isn't used to treat the symptoms of needed to chew on something. It eliminates the need for having to chew on something. If MG is used then no chewing necessary, a little better than a substitute imo...

SWIM has observed that magnesium, while reliably helping with clenching, makes him feel less dancey and more lethargic. SWIM recommended taking magnesium only after all dancing has been done, and before relaxing. This means don't preload it, postload it instead. He said that if dancing, simply chew gum to calm the clenching.
