Codeine + Benadryl = good time or disaster

SWIM has taken 40 crushed pills (8mg codeine, 15mg caffeine) and has done CWE on them of course. He is planning on taking 25mg or 50 mg of benadryl. Is this a good idea?? plz answer asap.

thats 320 mg of codeine.. swim would have to ask swiy if youve done codeine at that dose before... because generally 25-50mg of benadryl should be ok (actually should potentate the codeine), but it will also potentate the respiratory depression...

so, if swiy has never done that much codeine, swim would advise against it.. but generally 25 to 50 mg is ok to be taken with codeine... however swiy needs to judge for himself, swim has seen people get really shallow breathing with just a bit of codeine... so, just make sure you know swiy's body

SWIM would just like to recount an experience he had last weekend which was kind of freaky but i guess it was inviteable considering the doses.

He did the CWE on 50 pills (8mg Codeine, 15mg Caffeine) which came to about 360-380mg (including loss from extraction) and drank two Coronas quickly, immmediately after drinking the bitter codeine water. He then decided to have 2 benadryls. It was a nice high, he got a bit nauseous but all in all, he was relaxed, happy and felt all the good about the light opiate. He also felt like he had drunk 7-8 beers which was also a nice feeling.

At 1am, he decided to sleep but woke up 10 minutes later realizing that he wasent breathing at all and his vision was extremely blurry for quite a few seconds. He tried to go back to sleep since the sleeping pills were really kicking in but he found he would'nt breathe unless he conciously told himself to. He spent the next 4.5 hrs trying to go to sleep and even studied physics at 4 30am.

All in all, SWIM was a bit frightened the first time he woke up without breathing but after that, he didn't find it scary at all but thought it was really annoying and uncomfortable.
He has decided to never drink alcohol when on opiates (even small amounts) since everytime he does, he can't sleep while breathing 'til at least 7-9 hrs after he has drunk it. But, it has never gotten as bad as that night.

owch 50 pills, 2 beer, and 2 benadryl... thats pretty dangerous... swim is just glad swiy is alright... swim in the past has mixed some things he shouldnt have and experienced the feeling where you need to consciously breath... not a nice state... swim would have to say the beer probly pushed it over the edge... but, then again swim has never taken 50 pils... only like 40... good to hear you are ok though
