For Compulsive Drug Abusers: Has sex or masturbation ever controlled your experience

Personally, when SWIM was using cocaine regularly he found that getting high slowly become more and more focused around the masturbation while high rather than anything else (SWIM hides his drug use from his girlfriend so sex is not an option). At first SWIM would get high then do whatever, go socialize or listen to music, other things that are enhanced. But after awhile it got to the point where SWIM would lock himself in his room, use the drug, then masturbate. Basically it was like SWIM did the drug just to jack off while high. SWIM can be very compulsive when it comes to hedonistic pursuits, thus it makes sense that he eventually limited his activities while high to that which would be most pleasurable. Anyone else have a similar experience or is SWIM mentally deranged?

You are not alone, SWIM is the same in a lot of different ways. Albeit swim is more open about his use with his GF, he still loves to indulge in the same way on his own. I think it's normal and healthy so long as you aren't changing your whole life around for it. In other words, do you get excited about all sorts of different stuff INCLUDING your little rituals of hedonism or is that your whole focus? Is that all you can wait for and think about? Are you neglecting your girlfriend because of it? If so, you're crossing over into dangerous territory my friend.

But don't fret, take a break for a while and I promise your perception will change.
And think about it, is it really so strange that you ENJOY doing things that feel really good? It means you have a natural healthy human mind. Just be careful.

Pleasures of the body and the mind are what make the human experience wonderful...the combination of the body and the mine surely lead to exquisitely blissful and astonishingly beautiful moments.

Given that, to each their own I say as long as you are not harming yourself or others in pursuit of such experiences. There is nothing wrong with knowing what you desire and passionately seeking it out. It is always nice to find someone who shairs your interests so tell them good luck on that end.

With sex and stimulants there is increased demand on the cardiovascular system and may be something to be mindful of.
