Experiences - Odd experience

Today swim was blazing at his friends house like any other day. (swim has smoked weed for nearly 3 years daily). And swim felt very odd from smoking this time unlike any other time.
1. hot and cold flushes
2. extreamly lightheaded (like swim was about to faint vision was blurred)
3. extream uncomfort and stomach pains. (swim could not sit still and felt that they needed to go outside. Swim felt that if he did not get outside he would die. also the longer he waited to go out the worse these feelings got.)
4. sense of panic (swim sketched out more when swim thought about what was going on and swim started to sketch out hard)

Then swim went outside and sat down on the porch for 10-15 minutes and slowly started to feel better by the end of that 10-15 swim felt completely normal. (maybe a bit high)

Now swim cant figure out why this happened. Swim is a regular smoker and has never felt this before. At first swim thought the bud could of been laced but swim has smoked this bud before and did not get this feeling. Swim only got a few hours sleep the night before but doesnt think that was the cause because swim was not really tierd. Swims friends were smoking the same bud and they did not get this feeling. Swim has felt this but not on weed. Once when swim was on mushrooms he was at his friends house and quite a few people showed up that swim did not know and the feeling started. Swim didnt know a few people at his friends house today either. Maybe all the new people and bigger groups sketched swim out?

swim was wondering if anyone would have an idea why this happened or if swiy has felt this.

I would assume that this is a run of the mill panic/anxiety attack. Did SWIY smoke more than usual? or was it more potent than SWIY was used to? It could be brought on by a variety of factors, but is generally brought on by an intense experience (hence SWIY's experiences on shrooms and acid). Maybe SWIY's lack of sleep left SWIY somewhat vulnerable? Just speculation though. If it doesnt happen again I would not worry about it. If you search for panic or anxiety attacks there have been countless threads about this on the forum, possibly some with remedies, I dont remember.

those effects are normal. not of laced stuff. those are normal "very very very high dose THC" effects

your experience resembles swim's in my opinion:

1. hot and cold flushes

-->probably swim also swim experienced those while high, but they were either not so strong or they didn't worry him

2. extreamly lightheaded

-->weed lowers blood pressure, so you feel like you are fainting(collapse). feeling lightheaded, is the step before fainting

3. extream uncomfort and stomach pains.

--> weed does also this. although cannabis is an anti emetic, it can also induce vomiting(yes, i know you said stomach pain... but after stomach pain there is vomiting... in other words, this was only a step before vomiting). yeah, i know, its weird, but drugs work like that... effects are different form person to person and changing set&setting

4. sense of panic

---> normal.. swim also had those after smoking.


swim knows very well what you're describing. he had all those effects at the same time(vomiting, fainting, panic attack... + visuals... swim could hallucinate from cannabis...not good ones.. bad trip visuals! ..however right know i still don't know if it was HPPD or just too much weed..he was an heavy smoker)


i think all this is because MJ exibits reverse tolerance:
in other words you need less to get high. so the more you smoke, you get so high that there are only bad effects.
maybe you were thinking "i'm smoking from xx years/months, how can it be that hit me like this, i have tolerance/know very well weed effects"

Sounds like a straight-forward "whitey" possibly caused by a combination of fatigue and low blood sugar levels. They can happen occasionally although usually they're quite rare. If it's not something that happens regularly, it's nothing to worry about.

It was probably a panic attack like everyone said. It could have maybe even been a small flashback from the acid. People I know who have done acid sometimes get like 5 or 10 minute flashbacks when they smoke weed especially alot like stuff starts shifting or gets wavy for like 5 minutes.

Swim thanks you for the responses. Swim smoked the same bud and bong today and nothing bad to report . Swim thinks it may of been acid flashback because it was exactly like swims "bad" acid trip.

Did SWIY smoke more than usual?

No swim actualy smoked less than usual because he started to feel this after his second popper for those that dont know what a popper is its just like a normal bowl only in 1 hit.(to many people swim knows doesnt know what a popper is thats why I explain)

too much weed gives swim a flashback... i wonder why... but happens

Well, it should be noted that what I call a "whitey" isn't necessarily the same as a panic attack. A whitey is more like a feeling of sickness or dizziness which may have nothing to do with one's mentality. A panic attack is a lot more psychological and is possibly the result of completely different mechanisms in regards to how they come about. A full-blown panic attack on marijuana would be pretty unusual unless the person has some kind of history of anxiety. Perhaps the surprise of certain strains of marijuana could shock new users into a panic attack if they hit the stuff too hard.

I would say he may have a blood sugar issue, not having proper amounts of carbohydrates can sometime cause these panic problems to occur. The mind is a very complex tool that we have.
