A friend of mine continues to go to another of her friends houses, comes back with a little dark ball of some substance, puts the ball in a little plastic bottle, adds hot water to the bottle and mixes it up. Then she sucks some of the liquid into a needleless syringe, and pumps it up her nose.
Well, dark ball?... and she refers to it as brown?... My first guess would be that this is heroin?
There are only two reason that make me wonder if it may be something else:
- first, this little ball seemed a little harder than I would have imagined tar heroin being. It is plyable, but not as plyable as I would have thought it to be. I always thought tar heroin was softer than this stuff was.
- Second is, I know heroin reduces to morphine when it's exposed to water, so that seems like a waste of heroin to mix it with water right?
Anyway, I'm just trying to figure out what this stuff is because she tells me she doesn't know for sure. A long time ago she said it was some mixture of drugs that her friends dad makes, using oxycontin and some other stuff, but I'm thinking that she just doesn't want to admit to heroin use lol.
Does anyone know of any other drugs that are used in this method that this stuff may be? or is this a common method of using heroin?

Black tar heroin.
Perhaps could also be a form of Opium but SWIM heavily doubts it.

Not necessarily - if one was to take a look at images of tar heroin on the net one would see that it is even sometimes almost "sand" like in a clump, other times is can almost be a liquid

Unfortunately SWIyou knew wrong. Heroin does not de-acetylate in water. To form back into morphine, heroin must be de-acetylated at positions 3 and 6 of the morphine molecule it starts as. Water alone will not achieve this. The body de-acetylates Heroin into 6MAM and morphine which is why Heroin can be considered a "pro-drug" as such.

sounds like she is telling "porkie pies" (lies). Of course she knows what it is, One would almost have to be a complete idiot to take or continually take a drug that they dont know what it is.

SWIM thinks SWIyou are exactly right. She does not want to admit that she is "hot railing" or "liquid railing" Heroin.

It is not as common as shooting it but making it into a liquid and railing it is a very common way to take the drug since it makes it absorbable in the mucus membrane. If she knew a little more she could also make it even more absorbable in the mucus membrane by adding a small amount of citric acid.
sounds like smack and the reason swim knows is because swim was once afraid of the needle so swim admistered it the same way as your friend then swim loved muscle poppin skin poppin and mainlining
