Prescription to grow Papaver Somniferum?

I was curious as to anyone knowing anything about the possible legality of growing Papaver Somniferum for pain relief much in the same manner as Maijuana can be grown if one possesses a prescription from a Medical Doctor.


I have chronic pain that requires me to take up to 2,300 mg of Morphine a month. But if one wishes to go a more natural method, would it be logical to launch a campain to legalize the cultivation of these useful botanicals for personal medicinal use?

The fed's don't care about a prescription from a Medical Doctor.

Grow your own. Grow several different strains that way it doesn't suspicious. They make a very beautiful plant and I grow several strains in my garden just for show.

As far as your campaign, you would run into the same problems that medical marijuana has run into.

If you grow your own, remember opiun is highly addictive and you should take regular breaks from it.
