Drug info - Cocaine Energy Drink

Cocaine (available again in the U.S.) is a highly caffeinated energy drink distributed by Redux Beverages. It contains three hundred and fifty percent as much caffeine as the leading energy drink, Red Bull, as demonstrated on the label with "Energy Level:" followed by three and a half bull heads. Aside from caffeine the label boasts 750 milligrams of taurine, another common ingredient found in many energy drinks.
On May 5th, 2007, Cocaine was pulled from U.S. shelves as a result of the FDA's decision that Cocaine was "illegally marketing their drink as an alternative to street drugs". Redux Beverages began working on a new name for the product immediately. At the end of May, 2007, the Redux team decided to change the name to "No Name:" energy drink, with the new can label featuring a large blank space for fans to write their chosen name for the drink, covering the "Cocaine" on the can itself.. On June 17th, 2007, the drink was redistributed in the U.S. under the new labelling.
However, Redux Beverages has recently announced that the drink will return to shelves under its original name early 2008. Cocaine's founder and senior partner, Jamey Kirby, always believed they would get their name back. Said Kirby in June 2007, "Oh, we'll get our name back. We'll get it back."
The drink is now available online or in local beverage stores around the U.S.
The beverage is also available in Europe, where it is still sold as Cocaine Energy Drink rather than Insert Name Here: as it is in the U.S.

My aunt Jemima said it tasted terrible. The stimulation is what you'd expect from a lot of caffeine and taurine, how could they say it was being marketed as an alternative to illicit drugs?

YES!!! IT'S BACK!!!! ah, this is my favorite energy drink of all time! this is the 1st energy drink i've ever had, and defintly the best rush and taste. great to see it back. the crash was weird though. instead of being tired, things just got really slow

Yeah, SWIM has tried this just for the hell of it...and it's an energy drink..not much more can be said about it. Caffeine can only make you feel so "buzzed" if you even want to call it that.

This is a shitty product. It simply has spicy additives, caffeine, taurine to "supposedly" make if feel like you are doing cocaine(although my dinosaur said they do not even feel remotely the same). They re-released it under no name and are going to re-re-release it under cocaine again.

Overall, don't buy it. Its complete shit.

Get 'blow' if you want fancy caffeine, comes on scorpion boxes with caffeine powder, a fake credit card and I think one of them comes with a mirror. Also there is meth coffee somewhere online. FDA and them shits have no right to take these products off, I mean there are a few songs called cocaine, many pot songs, wouldn't they be making kids do drugs? Kids doing cocaine cause of energy drinks my ass...

I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but people who buy these drinks are retarded.

I think decaf coffee tastes awesome (because caffeine is very bitter), so I prefer to get my caffeine in pills from an online store called XXX. I won't post a link, but the price of 10 bottles x 100 pills x 200mg is $XXX. Shipping is free since I buy stuff in bulk.

Energy drinks like Red Bull are usually around $3. Some of the bigger ones are $5 or more, but let's just assume $3. Cocaine contains something like 280mg of caffeine.
300 cents / 280mg = 1.0714 cents per mg

So this drink Cocaine is a little over 30x as expensive as straight up caffeine? Yeah, that's not a scam at all. Even if it was just Coca Cola with a caffeine pill in it, less the binder, it shouldn't cost much more than $1 from a vending machine.

I'm someone that doesn't drink coffee and I imagine that would just make me epicly shaky and paranoid, not my idea of a good time.

Might have a few sips when burning the midnight oil for exams or something though.

A 12oz (small) coffee from Starbucks has 240mg of caffeine. heresay

This is a horrible idea. Lack of sleep before an exam is a good way to fail. Get jacked on caffeine/adderall/other just before the exam, after sleeping.

of course you can't compare cocaine drink to authentic blow. you're all missing the point. by swim's understanding, in this thread atleast, we're going by energy drink standards, and not nesicarilly comparing it to real uppers. that's like going to the pot section and saying "pot's bitch, smoke dmt". swim isn't a big fan of energy drinks. seems like swim's tolerance for the "rush" grows too rapidly. drinking 1 can, get the rush, then the next day drink another, and nothing. but if you happen to be a fan of energy drinks, cocaine is a must. it actually has a decent flavor, especially compared to monster

Don't compare the caffeine content to Red Bull.

Red Bull contains 80 mg, while a bottle of Mountain Dew contains over 91 mg.

The name "Cocaine" is referring to the so called "Burning sensation" in your thought .

And changed its name for a short period of time to "Censored", and then to "No Name" because of FDA pressure and Coca-Colas bitching about Cocaine copying their name.

I'd like to try it, but its not available in my area, and its not worth ordering online.

If you want caffeine, pills are the way to go. You can also buy taurine and B-Vitamins, and whatever else to save money compared to energy drinks.

People generally drink energy drinks instead of pills because it is easier to get, and it tastes good. But Cocaine isn't either of those things.

For now, I'm sticking to Monster when I'm thirsty, and pills when I need just need the caffeine.
