Very long duration of effects. Question
So SWIM doesn't smoke weed regularly, but SWIM got a nice bag and smoked it with 2 friends. Now time before this SWIM smoked and got utterly smashed. For about 6 hours, maybe a bit longer. Completely and utterly going crazy walking around etc.
Anyway, so SWIM's smoking with a couple of friends again, and is getting wasted like before. SWIM decides not to do much more because SWIM doesn't want to get like he did last time. So SWIM is still pretty wasted, and now, three days later, SWIM still can't really feel his lips properly, or his fingertips, or his eyes when SWIM cried (Don't ask, hah). Note SWIM did about a quarter G of relatively ok cocaine yesterday night. Anyway, SWIM read the halflife of THC is 1.6 to 59 hours (According to Wikipedia) so should I be worried? Any ideas? Thanks |

Re: Very long duration of effects. Question
Marijuana exhibits a reverse tolerance. In other words, it will take SWIY less of the substance to achieve its desired effects. At the same time, the frequency of smoking plays a big role in how high one will become. It's been said that the first time someone smokes marijuana is the "highest" they will ever be off of it. The more frequent SWIY smokes marijuana, the less "high" SWIY will feel to an extent, assuming it's the same potency. If SWIY recently smoked, the chance of getting as "smashed" as last time is unlikely.
I found that when SWIM first started smoking MJ, the feeling of being high would linger off and on the next day sometimes, but that totally went away after the first dozen or so times. You shouldn't be worried about health problems, if that's what you mean. As far as not feeling your lips or fingertips properly three days after smoking MJ- I've simply never heard of that before, so hopefully someone else can assist you. |

Re: Very long duration of effects. Question
This could be some kind of slight temporary sensory alteration, the kind some people may feel after using a psychedelic for the first time. It doesn't sound that problematic to be honest. Give it a couple of days. It's probably one of those "it's all in your head" things, basically worrying about nothing.
SWIM's experienced little things like that after using different types of drugs for the first time. |

but did SWIY smoke before? (wrt NatureBoy's reply)

Are you 100% sure that the numbness in SWIY's fingers and lips is caused by the weed? |

Re: Very long duration of effects. Question
Thanks for all the replies. SWIM says that after nearly a week that it went. SWIM can finally feel his lips and eyes and fingertips properly now!
SWIM believes it was one of these "in the head" type things, but it's definitely a lesson to SWIM not to smoke so muc weed in future! SWIM's learnt a great deal both from the replies above and also from the experience it's self. Thanks. |
