Purity - MDMA and complaints...

Okay, so recently my pet has doing "pure" MDMA powder with his friends. He has picked up a half O twice, and is pretty sure theres only one or two links in the chain before the actual chemist.
The first batch was pretty fucking good, and everyone loved it. However, the second batch (of which he's still got about 4 grams) seems to be picking up more complaints. There seem to be people complaining about throwing up because of it, and not on the come-up - actually a few hours after feeling effects.
The other complaint he recieved is about potency. Four friends snorted 500 mg (making 1/8 of a g each) and felt nothing. He told them that they didn't take enough, and the standard dose he tells people to take is 250 mg. Does quality of MDMA vary that much through the skipping of impurity processes? I've been lurking here for a while (this is my frist post!), and see people talking about 100mg being enough. The other obvious option is that its been cut: He asked for it in rock form, but got it both times in powder, with apologies. Does the vomiting + amount needed sound like this is so? If so, he won't pick up any more.

Also, what would it be cut with? When snorting it when he first picked it up (to test) his nose went a bit sticky, like damp sugar residue. Wouldn't this be a stupid thing to cut it with?

Sorry about the length: TO CUT A LONG STORY SHORT: People have been throwing up more than is common and have needed pretty high doses. Is it cut?

3. 250mg is seen as a high dose for a standard dose.
4. it's almost impossible for people over the internet to guess what the cut is in SWIY's powder.

My question is how much does the skipping of impurities vary the quality? Because the guy supplying my pet is a very nice guy, and i don't really want to believe that he's cutting it. I'm pretty damn sure he gets it in rock.

You are able to edit posts once you've been here for a while and contribute well with posts.

Well a cutting agent can either be inactive and be used to stretch the original mass of the chemical. Or the cut can be active and cause another reaction with the human body in addition to stretching the chemical.

Either way a normal dose would be compromised by an unknown % (SWIY would never know how much MDMA they are actually ingesting.) SWIY could also potentially be putting a toxic chemical in his body which could hurt the body or even diminish the effects of MDMA somehow.

I believe those are all the possible scenarios involved with a cutting agent in MDMA. I wasn't exactly sure what you were asking so I hope that helps.

Say it loud, say it proud - get a reagent test kit!

It will not tell you exactly what is in the mix, but will give a reasonable idea if a multi-test kit is used - ask your local head-shop about EZ-test.

500mg is far, far too much to be recommending someone to put up their nose, or down their throat for that matter.

Yeah, the only problem is he's certain that is IS mostly MDMA, he'd certainly be able to tell if it wasn't. If only test kits could tlel you percentages and whatnot.

Ah, he doesn't think he'll pick up another batch. He didn't get as good vibes from the whole business this time. He's planning a party with the last four grams, where he invites 16 people and gives them all a quarter gram for free He's paid back his debts, and doesn't like the idea of profits - even though he's in desperate need of money.
