Hi anyone from the uk who opposes the uk mushroom ban should sign the petition here http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/freemushrooms to be presented to the priminister in 2009, please sign and spread this around, tell everyone you think will sign it, we have to make a stand against this rubbish. Thanks ☺

Re: help fight the mushroom ban!

I've always had a kind of image of petitions to the decision makers that they are a little like a red blanket for a bull. They are already banning the mushrooms if there is a petition against it. So they've made up their mind and those petitions represent to them a demand from the users to let them continnue eat their drug. But good luck with that, hopefully there are skillfully written grounds to go with the names that thing collects.

Re: help fight the mushroom ban!

its not my petition... im just spreading the world... fed up of a rubbish government with double standards and no idea about whats going on in the world. be free to do what you choose as long as you cause no one else harm... seems pretty basic to me. respect and individuality. i just hope things change one day .

@Vampyface: This same message has been posted to about eight threads. Although it's not totally off-topic, it's not good practice either. It's getting close to spam.

Re: help fight the mushroom ban!

Yes, as has already been stated there is only a need to post this once. Also a petition has already been done and handed to the government who responded in a predictable manner. See the following link:

http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/sho...hroom+petition

Now what is so different about this petition that is going to make any differnce? SWILL is not having a go, but there seems little point in re-inventing an unsuccessful wheel.

Re: help fight the mushroom ban!

its not my petition, i was mearly trying to make people aware of it. i am aware that there have been previous petitions and yes this one is no different i suppose but that doesnt make it not worth a try... simply sittin on arses and moaning doesnt work either. people can either sign it or not, simple. but i would rather try and do somethin about something i disagree with than nothing. i, like everyone, was born into a country with laws and rules which i had no say on. im fed up of being confined by rules i dont agree with. i will do my best to challenge those rules. id rather do that that live with complience to a society i dont like.

Re: help fight the mushroom ban!

Good attitude, but we are just expressing our opinions about what would be the best thing to do to challenge those rules. I haven't given that a thought a lot, but educating people near you, writing articles to news papers, maybe even arranging some events, anything directed to masses rather than the decisionmakers. We're not trying to trash down your efforts, just gave an opinion that it'll propably not accomplish anything and might just show up to the decision makers as a face of the 'enemy', those who'd like to continnue using those dirty drugs.

Re: help fight the mushroom ban!

Please add your vote and reply to this poll:
Rise in use of illegal drugs in Ireland & UK after mushroom ban?

it gives a good argument against any ban already in place and those coming into place. Like the Dutch mushroom ban.
