It's definitely to do with the miner's strike (I think) and the next one is a bit of a stab in the dark...the obvious answer would be Scargill, but the yak likes a gamble and tells me that his dubious wager is on a certain Mr Kinnock.

Damn, trawling the old memory recesses becomes more and more like a magical mystery tour as the years pass by (and it appears from my poor recollection that I may have slept through most of it).

When you say right era, do you mean within ten years say? Poll Tax riots (but that was 1990 I think)? Aaaah, or the Falklands perhaps and maybe the mad Thatch herself in a K-9 stylee?

Oh dear, do you not think it's terrible to watch a grown man struggle so badly? Or perhaps it's just entertaining......you will probably have to put me out of my misery if I (or somebody else) don't get there by the end of the day.

Well I'm plumping for the mad roofer and Malvinas madness. Listening again it does sound like the ill-conceived love child of Mad Maggie and K-9.
