Does anyone know of a way to test opium to see if it is real other than trying it out?
Swim takes about 200 mg of Morphine daily. How many grams would it take to get swim nodding?
Trying to figure out potency is an issue lots of SWIMMER's deal with when using more natural products over pharmacutical grade. Hypothetically speaking, if 50grams of good yield pods were to produce 7-10 grams of cooked 'O', one could assume that each gram could have perhaps 50mg's of morphine in it among other things. But then someone could use 50grams of top shelf pods and get a more. And perhaps latex were to be used, then the potency per gram could be alot higher because of purer starting ingredients. Unless you have access to a lab where testing can be conducted, it is very hard to predict exactly how much is in each gram and exactly what is in each gram(i.e....codeine, morphine...etc...).
My feline friend has tried to use pods to match potency of other lab pharmacuticals and has had great success on some experiments, and other times was pissing in the wind.....over-all concensus seems to be that smoking is a good way to judge potency because you can stop once you reach a certain point that one may recgonize from previous experiences. My cat loves pod tea, but again, the potency varies alot from batch to batch, and from brew to brew even when exact guidlines are followed. Sometimes a better high than getting high is preparing and anticipating a high.....
SWIM's need to remember that Opium itself is not a drug....it is a combination of chemicals that can be used syngeristically together, or seperated for various reasons and usages. Opium is just the name, so trying to comapre it to just morphine isn't really comparing apples to apples. One would have to extract morphine from the opium, figure out mg to mg ratio and then go from there.
My cat has tried tons of pills and pretty much can tell me from each one to the next how it's going to feel in 30 minutes, but with each 'O' experience, it's different. When he first discovered pods, he didn't notice anything at first, expected more of a kick, and then went on to over-do it because of impatience. Now he's a little more cautious. He even switches from poppy's to pills to abstinence to keep himself from going too far in any one particular direction. It has helped immensly as far as helping keeping tolerances lower than they seemed to once be......SC
