Wal-Mart self-checkout = good for DXM

[N_a_nutshell]

I extract DXM from cough syrups, as I was born with a little cocaine
body and want as few chemicals in my system as possible. Now, it
can be quite embarassing to stand in a checkout line while hoarding
cough medicines and having the other customers and cashiers (who've
seen the news reports about cough medicine abuse) scowl at me or even
try to talk me out of my purchase. So now I shop only at Wal-Mart
because my store has a self-checkout computer system that won't feed
you lines from a Dateline special. Also, of course, Wal-mart is
unbelievably inexpensive. On average, it only costs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
of DXM ^_^.

Prices are not allowed. Naming large chain-stores have been recently approved. Read the revised rules.



So if you have a Wal-mart near you, I recommend going there before the drug stores.

Be careful with this, DXM containing cough syrups are considered a
restricted item at Wal-Marts, and the self-checkouts are not supposed
to let you pay for your stuff until the cashier running the self-checkout
comes over and looks at your ID and crap. Not that many of them
care what your buying, they usually just look at your ID to verify your
over 18. Or they're supposed to anyway. On top of that, they also
have a screen that lets them monitor everything that gets rung up.

Not that they can really do anything, because as far as I know there
isn't a limit on how many DXM-containing products you can get at
once. But I just thought I'd post this for anyone who cares.

On the other hand, you can save an awful lot of money buying it at
Wal-Mart than anywhere else, can't argue with that.

so is walmart the only place you have to be 18 to buy the stuff or what? I have never been asked for an ID when buying this kind of thing at other places. I am well over 18, but i'm just curious if they are trying to restrict dxm use at other places too.

funny, was going to mention this (being way over 18.) CVS pharms in my area are having a two week sale on DXM syrups 8 oz. for "a billion Dollars!!xxxxxxxxx buy one get one free.

I haven't tried to buy a lot of DXM products at walmart all at once
before, but at Target, they wouldn't sell me any more than 2 bottles of
robitussin gel caps. It was kind of embarrassing because I was trying
to buy 3, then the machine started beeping when the cashier rang them
up and it told her that I was only allowed to buy 2. Her manager had to
come over and erase the other from the machine. Everybody is standing
there staring at me buying all this cough medicine. Oh well...

Maybe the stuff you were buying had pseudoephedrine in it, which is the
main ingredient used to make meth. In that case, I think all stores
have a protection to keep people from buying large amounts of
pseudoephedrine. And anyways with self check-out, you can scan
two packs in, pay for them, end the sale, and start over with more. The
people monitoring the self-checkout are mainly there to help people who
get stuck, and usually they are away from the screen.

Bad wording on my part. What I meant is that you have to be 18 to
buy DXM products (at Wal-mart anyway), sorry about that.

SWIM is always carded when buying Robo Max (but funnily enough, not
the Robo Cough Gels), so it isn't just pseudo products that Wal-Mart
watches (they card for some really stupid stuff).

If you scan the Robo at the self-checkout, at the end of your
transaction right before you pay it will say something like "please wait
for assistance, approval needed for: restricted items" on the screen,
and that's when the checkout monitor comes and looks at your ID and
crap (they're supposed to type in your birthdate). Or that's how they
do it around here, it may be different in other areas.

I've never been carded at Wal-mart for DXM products, or at any other
store for that matter. I know that there isn't a law restricting the
sale of DXM to minors. It could just be new store policy slowly
coming into effect at different stores.

I know that CVS and other drugstores like that check. But they usually just ask swim if I'm 18, swim says yes, they don't ask to see the ID

Probably. Wal-mart is the only store SWIM gets carded at, and like said, they
card for some really weird things there. There is a lot of meth production in
SWIM's area, so that probably has something to do with it as well.

Yeah it can, girls can get easily way to drunk. Also, you could buy out the store's whole stock of alcohol without being hassled. You could buy 50 bottles, 20 cases of beer and acouple of kegs, without people giveing you a dirty stair. All they would say is, "Damn, that must be a massive party." Because, what drug dealer is going to sell alcohol...right?

Doesn't have to do with DXM, but since we're on the topic of walmart
restrictions, I got carded yesterday while trying to buy a liquid
thread sealer that you use to apply to screws. I've also heard that you
are only allowed to buy 3 packs of lithium batteries at a time since
lithium can be used in making meth. It's getting kind of rediculous in
my opinion.

Whoa, old post to bring back to the surface, but that's cool I guess. Restrictions are going to depend largely on your area and the specific vendor. For instance, I have been carded randomly for DXM containing products at Walgreens (before I even knew they could be used in this way), so I tend to believe it depends on who is working.

I have never attempted to buy from Walmart, because I disagree with their business practices. However, once again it is going to depend on who the cashier is (most are not paid enough to really care). I doubt you will run into a great deal of trouble, but it is always better to be on the safe side and plan for the worst. Although, in this case the worst is not going to be anything more than that company refusing to sell to you

Holy shit, I thought I'd found something special when I could get it for xxxxxxxxxxx. I'm a socialist and all, and see Wal Mart as some kind of antichrist, but damn.

I've never bought DXM by myself, always gotten someone who was less afraid to do it than me. And the only place near me that has self-checkout that I wouldn't mind setting foot in has much higher prices than xxxxxxxxxxx... solution: Do as my friend Crow does, and don't pay for dex. ^_^
