Blocked nose affecting insufflation

Yo, SWIM has had a really bad blocked nose problem for a couple of months due to allergies or something. Anyway, his problem arises when he tries to snort various mind altering substances.

For example, the other day SWIM aquired a couple of pills of identical pills of ecstasy. He crushed one up pretty well, and snorted it as hard as he could. Most of it got in his nose but all he could feel was amild energy and it relaly didn't hit him that well. He took a pill from the same batch a few days laters and just swallowed it and the effects were much more pronounced.

QUESTION: Is SWIM's blocked nose affecting the absorption of the product or is there another reason?

Re: Blocked nose affecting insufflation

Drugs that are snorted are absorbed throught the membrane at the back of the throat. So if whatever SWIY is snorting is getting stuck in your snot, yeah thats why SWIY aint getting high!

Re: Blocked nose affecting insufflation

Don't know if this will help with allergy problems, and probably won't help with insufflating (seeing as im assuming you're insufflating in the evenings, and will therefore have been awake getting a blocked nose all day) but whenever i have a stuffed nose i sleep on my side! trust me, it works. If you just keep trying to breathe through it and you're on your side, the uppermost nostril will clear. Then you just have to keep switching sides, until you drive yourself crazy :P

Not entirely true. Insufflated drugs are also absorbed through the nasal lining as well, and a lot of cocaine which ends up in the throat is swallowed and absorbed gastrointestinally, which has poorer bioavailability.

Re: Blocked nose affecting insufflation

Swibf proceeds and concludes insufflation of quality substances with thorough similar ingestions of water. Can't clean the pipes too much and Swiy wouldn't want to have their candy to become pesky boogers of the future.
