Cooking Does Pot Butter Go Bad?

So SWIM was wondering, if he made some pot butter and put it in a jar and placed it in a very cold freezer, how long would it last? SWIM is in a situation where he doesn't have the time or ability to cook it because of people that live with him, (no not parents). But sometimes he's alone for awhile or only with someone who doesn't mind. So he has been wondering, if he made some and freezed it, would it last a long time?

I've used frozen pot butter from years ago that remained frozen the entire time, and it still worked great. I can't vouch for refrigeration or anything other than freezing, though.
