Experiences - Ambien Amnesia (Zolpidem)

Wow ok so apparently SWIM took 20mg of Ambien (Zolpidem) on Sunday after returning from work, and on Monday, he awoke remembering none of his actions the day before. They were not irrational just his normal daily actions of going to work then coming home. The thing is, it snowed on Saturday quite a bit. He thought, upon waking up Monday morning, that it had happened the night before (Sunday night). He doesn't remember getting picked up from work nor anything about work on that particular day, though now, with the help of some people, he's recalling more and more of it. Basically it was a normal day but because the said man in the story took Ambien that night, it was all wiped from his memory.

Now we've all heard stories about SWIY doing something dumb while under the INFLUENCE of Ambien (cleaning/destroying their house, killing their dog, ect) and not remembering it, but I've never heard of someone forgetting their whole day's worth of activity with only previous memories being 2 days before.

Well I think what happened is that SWIM took Ambien, then took more Ambien. But I still have reason to believe no more than 30mg was taken. Perhaps this person is hypersensitive to Ambien (though having taken on many occasions beforehand and even after) or what? Do you guys know of anyone having similar experiences?

Sorry for not using the pharmaceutical name. This title had more alliteration than "Zolpidem Amnesia" would have. I didn't see the post until just now. Edit if you wish but I put the name in my post.

Swim does. Swim recently baked cookies and remembers nothing except bad burns on her fingers. Swim doesn't care if she used 10 or 30 mgs, the same effect.

SWIM usually doesn't remember what happened the night before when dosing more than 25mg of zolpidem. He's never done anything he regrets, as he's still aware of what's going on, but he'll just "forget" what exactly happened the night before. SWIM imagines if he were to administer this high of a dose earlier in the day, he'd have a hard time remembering what happened that entire day. It sounds perfectly logical.

Swim doesn't personally suffer any amnesia when using zolpidem, even at moderately high doses

However, one benzo which he does suffer amnesia on is bromazepam. He once lost most of a week to that stuff. So he gets where you're coming from!

ya this cat i know thinks drinking with ambien socially is a bad idea. this cat did it 2 10 mg pills and probably railed some. then proceeded to get hammered and go out with some friends. Next thing this cat knows hes woken up with a sexy black man in her bed. The cat had got complete amnesia to the prior events. Cat still does not know what happened that night.
