Question Gbl use and working out

Swim likes to work out. He keeps his drug use in moderation because of it. Most drugs he likes (amphetamine, mdma ...) are not really good for gaining weight because of known reasons, and swim really is a hard-gainer as well so that doesn't make things more easy.

Swim wonders how healthy gbl/ghb really is and how much it will affect his health when used, say 3 times per week for an undefined amount of time? Swim has the feeling that gbl (he is planning on making ghb) really is more healthy then most other drug, there really is no comedown, he even feels refreshed after (although this could be just temporarily?).

2 days ago swim worked out while he had taken gbl an hour before. Strange thing is, swim has more sore muscles then usual. Would you think that would be from training harder, or simply because of the gbl which has a negative effect (although swim read something about gbl/ghb being helpful for sore muscles but doesn't know if this information is correct).

Thanks.

Re: Gbl use and working out

Its more likely to be from training harder than working out.
As for been a hard gainer, SWIY may have abit of trouble with bulking up, due to G's supposed fat burning properties.
To be honest, I think this question would be better suited for a bodybuilding forum, as quite alot of bodybuilders used to use whilst it was legal.
However, steer away from Mick Harts 'Tears on a Keyboard' article.
Full of exaggeration IMO.
The guy claims to have been taking 2 100gram tubs a day.
He is right about the addictive potential however, but if you do decided to read it, take it with a pinch of salt.
Wishing SWIY good luck with his training.

Re: Gbl use and working out

Do a forum search for Xyrem (pharma GHB) and you will find plenty of studies that prove the safety of GHB. The danger lies in daily multiple dosing regimes that can lead to a serious withdrawal issues following cessation.

As long a SWIY leaves it as a single pre-workout dose then he should be fine. Although in SWIM's experience all that serves to do is to make him sweat profusely during the workout which isn't going to help on bulking up, it is more likely to simply help burn off more fat.

He has found that the most effective results when using GHB to "assist" during his training is as a sleep aid in his bedtime protein shake. After all, that is when your muscles are actually "building" anyway. The improved quality of sleep plus the purported GH release means that your body can get a lot of work done while SWIY sleeps.

As for Mick Hart's amateur prose you can read my opinion in this thread which also covers GHB and bodybuilding:http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/sho...highlight=hart

Swims experience is that it does strip the fat off. Swim has low body fat anyway, but after a couple of weeks on 1- 1.5ml, a couple of times a week, the six pack was noticably more defined!

swIm agree Mr G and found the same thing when swim was going to the gym alot and had access to quantitys of G....it makes you sweat like a bitch and it wasnt helping swim to lift anymore etc ...
swim think as Mr G said it is best to be used either as a night time sleep aid/muscle recovery formula combined with high protein diet and maybe creatine and/or swim also got good results buy combining a SMALLish dose with my post workout protein shake....

good luck and let us no how you get on.

peace.

does anybody know if gbl can be kept in gelcaps medium term (a few days)?
i would have guessed it would dissolve them.

Re: Gbl use and working out

swim left one overnight full with gbl, and so far so good. so you could at least take gelcaps full out with swiy.
swim is now covering it in gbl. will report back tomorrow.

I would guess so. When growth hormone levels are higher you tend to carry less body fat.

It would be interesting if you could tell us how long a gelcapsule lasts with GBL in it. It is a question often asked yet never tested.

Any chance of running a test for us?

well swim left one for 36 hours submerged and there did not seem to be any ill effects, except maybe the gelcap felt slightly more firm but that could have been me.

when swims 1000 gelcaps arrive in th next few days he will leave one in their for longer, but i have the feeling they will be ok if they lasted 36 hours.

interesting...swim always presumed it would just disintegrate the cap...should have done field testing instead of writing the idea off...cheers fornogoodreason, please post your results as they come 2 hand..

Re: Gbl use and working out

SWIM takes his GBL in gelcaps always nowadays. No more of that nasty plastic, solventy taste. Gelcaps seem to be well immune for GBL and hold surprisingly well the liquid in.

the gelcap i left full and submerged is still going strong

i confirm that it seems to have reduced the flexibility of the cap - however that should make no difference to it's usability. what is annoying is that the gbl has dissolved the markers of my 1ml syringe!

Re: Gbl use and working out

Ok well the next step is to see how long a gelcap that has had a gbl dose put in it and then closed lasts before it starts to leak. Do you mind doing that one for us f.n.g.r.?

that's basically what it has turned into now, as all the gbl it was submerged in has evaporated. im still gonna leave it but i have the feeling it will remain usable forever.

Re: Gbl use and working out

SWIM was forced to order vegetable capsules since normal gelcaps were out of stock. Last night he learned that they don't hold GBL that well at all. It doesn't take more than 5 seconds from closing the cap and they start slowly bluffing. Not knowing this SWIM had a nasty tasting capsule covered and leaking GBL. But they are usable for administering GBL; if one works fairly fast it doesn't have time to leak at all, and the effects come on a bit faster than with gelcaps.

Aha! That's must be what had been discussed previously.

Thanks for the information from both of you then.

So there we have it, Gelcaps are fine to hold GBL but Veggiecaps are no good.

Thanks guys, this little nuggest of information will end up in the GHB Wiki.
