methcathinone=dirty urinanalysis

Being on methadone program, they test urine for opiates,coke,methamphetamine and probably some other things. Now my question is, taking methcathone will show up as what? If at all.

I couldn't find anything definite, but it's a pretty good bet that MCAT might trigger a positive for amphetamines on a standard test.

nope. I would not assume so. The metabolites would be different.

Methcathinone is almost chemically identical to amphetamine.

Swim thinks that it would most definatley show positive for amps.

SWIM read a post on another forum about a methcathinone addict who

passed his drug tests because the drug tests did not pick up the methcat

in his system. now SWIM is by no means an expert on this situation so i

cannot say either way but here are two things to think about.


1. drug tests test for the metabolites of certain drugs, not necessarily the

drugs themselves, but rather what is excreted by the body after taking

said drugs. for example, a positive for cocaine does not actually show the

presence of cocaine in the urine but rather a completley different chemical

which is what the liver metabolizes cocaine into. So, theoretically it is

possible that even though methamphetamine and amphetamine are

structurally similar to methcathinone they may have completley different

metabolites and therefore may not show up as a positive on a drug test.


2. since SWIY does not know for sure, is it really worth it? couldnt SWIY

jsut wait until AFTER the drug test to begin experimenting just to be on

the safe side.
