Tramadol and school?

Bad? Good?
SWIM is wondering whether taking tramadol during school is worth it.
SWIM hasn't tried it before, and is wondering about the correct rec. dosage also.

Seriously? SWIM would recommend that SWIY would start off with a good theraputic dose in the comfort of your SWIdowninflames home. That way you'll

1. Find out the effect tramadol has on SWIY, IE any allergies or bad reactions
2. Be able to formulate a good starting dose for recreational usage.

The problem being that if SWIY took a large dose, then went to school and found out SWIY couldn't stand or walk in a straight line, SWIY could find himself in a world of trouble.

SWIM is affected pretty heavily by tramadol, with heavy sedation starting from just 50mg. I could give you advice all day on what SWIM has experienced, but everyone is different, so start safe!

Re: Tramadol and school?

I have found tramadol is a good drug to use while studying...it has helped me stay up many a full nighter for those tests the next day. The stimulating aspect helped me focus, but this is not consistent for all swims.

I have a script for this drug.

You can be 18 and still be in high school...

Perhaps SWIM reacts differently, SWIM finds he can barely stand up on it, his face gets numb and all he wants to do is sleep or giggle, sometimes both.

Re: Tramadol and school?

thanks for pointing this out...

I forgot to mention...it is only good for studying if you have the tolerance...as my tolerance increased with this drug the "downing" effect ass. w/ opiates decreased and the stim eff. becomes more predominant.

I have ran out and not gotten the script for a week, then got it filled took my normal dose and was just too out of it to do anything productive. NOT GOOD if you have a quantum mechanics test the next morning...

I can imagine! Thus highlighting my point to the OP, since SWItheOP hasn't tried it before: Get SWIY to try a small dose in the safety of their own home to judge the effect it has on you.

Re: Tramadol and school?

Swim would say it would be good for helping sit through a class or light studying.

Swim personally loves tramadol, and finds it makes people and situations more tolerable.

Swim's dosage is 250-300mg dissolved into liquid form.

Re: Tramadol and school?

swim recommends...a hearty dose of zero mg! In swims opinion tramadol has almost no recreational value, and much less value of increasing alertness or brain activity. This is an odd question..why at school? If swiyou are looking for an increase on the cognitive level, well good luck finishing that calculus exam in record time on 300mg of tramadol! If swiyou are however looking for a way to zone out, pass the time and gain nothing out of your education..well then 2-300 mg of tramadol in the morning might be just what the doctor ordered!

Seriously though, if swiyour seeking that narcotic,'fuzzy wuzzy i am the socialite' buzz from mild narcs like hydrocodone, this is not the answer. It may make swiyou feel heavy and might create an aversion to moving around..but that's where the similarities end. This is NOT a narcotic, yet it still offers the nasty W/D that narcs offer. Worth it? nope.

For you this may be true, but definately not for some, there are many people on this forum that enjoy tramadol a lot and not just those that are totally opioid naive... Tram is a strange one, for some it can get them pretty f'ed up and they love it, for others it does next to nothing and so they hate it.
Being tolerance free obviously helps 'cos I'm not saying that this stuff is like H but It can be quite powerful, only for some. No idea why this is..

Re: Tramadol and school?

SWIM zones out, yet has trouble sleeping. These are side effects which disappear after a little tolerance building. Though SWIM is "stimulated" SWIM certainly has trouble concentrating in Calc. About the possible effects, SWIM would worry less about walking straight and more about throwing up all over SWIY desk.

Not to go off topic (besides to point out tramadol is a lousy third choice at school for SWIM), but xanax really really helps SWIM at school.

Its not the learning aspect of school which many find difficult. Its the cute girl next to you, the pissed-off asshole teacher, the threats of surprise quizzes, and finals/projects that are always around the corner. Not even going to mention the people you love and hate whom you see there daily. For SWIM, 1mg of xanax manages all the side-effects of our educational system and lets him focus on learning. (thats one for the benzo report forum though)

Besides that, come Saturday SWIM will pop trams like skittles. With the proper dosing times, SWIM gets more effects from tramadol then oxycontin. If SWIY looking for the "proper dose", better just start at the recommended 1-2 and count how many more until SWIY feels nauseous.

Re: Tramadol and school?

Swim would not recommend doing this, as it will knock swim out in a few hours and does not see ANY benefits when it comes to doing school work, it is the last thing swim wants to do. With that said, swim does not find any stimulating effects from said drug, others do, so it really depends on the person (hey, whats new?).
