About 200 kilograms of cocaine was found in a truck after it crossed the Bluewater Bridge into Sarnia on Wednesday evening.
The 40-year-old trucker was charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and the unlawful importation of drugs.
The trucker, remanded in custody, is to appear in court in Sarnia on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, a London man is in custody after police seized more than one kilogram of cocaine and $173,000 in cash yesterday.
Police searched a Platts Lane residence Wednesday at 4:50 a.m. and seized the cash, drug scales, cellphones and a knife. A suspect was arrested.
Then, at 1 p.m. Thursday, police obtained a second warrant to search two vehicles and seized a kilogram of powder cocaine worth about $28,000 and 224 grams of crack cocaine worth $17,920.
Both vehicles were seized.
Conroy Rose, 40, of London, is charged with four counts of breaching a recognizance, possession of a prohibited weapon, possession of proceeds of crime, possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of crack cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.
