A friend's friend wrote this report on their pharmahuasca experience:
Gender, Weight, & Applicable Previous Experience:
Swim is a male, weighing 150 lbs, with ample experience in psychedelic exploration. Having explored other tryptamines, both natural and synthetic (Psilocybin, LSD, n,n-DMT, 5-meo-DMT, 5-meo-DiPT), swim chose a low dose, above threshold but functional. Primarily motivated by his last experience with ayahuasca, which seemed primarily driven by an effort to avoid nausea (this seemed very much to distract him from the powerful cognitive relationship he has with DMT), swim embarked on a DMT extraction, and, with a wealth of white crystals he chose to continue oral dosing in the hopes of enhancing the cognitive relationship he holds with DMT without a nausea or unpleasant ingestion factor.
Setting: Bedroom, Cactus Garden, Sunny Lawn
Experience:
As the clocktower rang out high noon, swim ate a 150mg tablet of Moclobemide and laid down on his bed to dig in to Hume's "An Enquiry Concerning Human Understanding." After 45 minutes, he stepped up from his warm imprint in the mattress and took his DMT and empty capsules from the freezer. After carefully weighing out exactly 50mg of the white, crystalline product, he proceeded to fill and swallow the capsule before laying back down, turning on some music, and closing his eyes. After assuring himself that no inkling of nausea or discomfort was apparent, he decided to sit up and eat a grapefruit he had picked that morning. At 2 o'clock, hearing the clocktower ring again, swim felt a familiar warm pressure creep along his skin and sit comfortably like a crown on his head and walked outside. The initial characteristics of the tryptamine world included increased visual acuity (crisp and exaggerated edges), enhanced color perception, analgesic-like physical pleasure (the consistently pleasent feeling of a recently released tense muscle), disparate thought patterns and brief mind-body dualism animation (OBE). No sense of disorientation, confusion, or disillusion ever appeared, distinctly unlike the initial rising action and peak of his previous ayahusaca experience. Feeling a definitive peak moment, he walked quickly to the nearby cactus sanctuary and sat quietly between some alien-esque sclerotia which seemed almost pulsing with life in the warm sun. The details of spines and long water passages along sometimes waxy, occasionally wet, and consistently well layered stalks and arms of the great cacti were vibrant, almost overwhelmingly detailed. Every few minutes during his alien-dreamtime journey in the cactus garden, swim would realize he had lost contact with his physical dwelling, and grab his own leg, arm, or even face, to assure himself that it had persisted in this alien environment. Eventually, he stood up and began to walk through the nearby orange groves, eating small fruit as he walked. Feeling the initial peak had passed, he rolled himself a small joint of a strong Cannabis Kafiristanica (Diesel) strain he had saved for such a psychedelic occasion. As seems to be common suit with the tryptamines, a handful of small tokes sent swim flying into space once again. The phsysical attributes of the psychedelic experience seem particularly accentuated during this phase, while much of the cognitive alterations have subsided. Swim would never imply this about any two substances in their entirety, but at this time and at this level, the oral DMT tapering experience seems almost indistinguishable from the tail end of a mid-dose (2 grams) p. cubensis mushroom experience. At around 7 o’clock, watching the sun set behind the mountains, swim declared for all intents and functional purposes a return to baseline. A definite afterglow remained until swim fell asleep around midnight, characterized by a continued analgesic effect, as well as a lingering emotional satisfaction.
Overall Rating:
A unique set of psychedelic visuals seem present in this compound, unlike any other experienced through any of the tryptamines or PEAs, marked by a distinct increase in visual acuity or accuracy as well as color recognition without the glowing fuzz-like characteristics of many visual distortions/pseudo-hallucinations. CEVs seemed superficial or placebo, if existent at all outside of perhaps the altered perception of unaltered light patterning. This distinct lack of visceral distractions makes this substance through an oral ingestion particularly pliable for psychotherapeutic value, as well as abstract problem solving. However, on that note, oral dmt seems equally dangerous in the sense that it appears (deceptively) not to hinder cognition to any great degree, leaving the abductee to believe coherently in all of their experiences. The alterations in cognition however in retrospect seem quite apparent and potentially applicable in a ‘transpersonal’ self-objectification. As a party-pill this may be less than satisfying, but as a therapeutic, truly psychedelic tool, pharmahuasca seems to have near endless potential.
