Question Tramadol and fioricet. Good combo?

SWIM has a good amount of Tramadol pills as well as fioricets. If these 2 were combined would it be a pretty good high? Swim enjoys tramadol by itself or with a little MJ. SWIM just wants to know if it's worth it to mix these 2 drugs.

Re: Tramadol and fioricet. Good combo?

Unsure of the drug interaction there. fioricet is a combo barbiturate @50mg although one could not find the potency of this barbiturate for comparison (mg mg comparison to other barbs.)

One might put the conjecture out there that it has the possibility to be a good combination since barbiturates can produce both hypnotic / sedative effects (and also analgesic / anesthetic effects at higher dosages) then it is quite possible that tramadol with its NSRI and small mu-opioid affinity qualities may be enhanced by this particular barbiturate.

One does not recommend this as a trial though. Obvious caution and common sense apply in this area. One would be more likely to read up on this particular barbiturate and tramadol to see if there are any possible "adverse" drug interactions.

Hope this has in some way helped

Thanks! Ya I did some research and decided to give it a go. Surprisingly a very nice combination indeed! Although I did drift in and out of sleep throughout the day

The barbiturate in fioricet is butalbital. It is relatively weak.
