Jaw Hurts from grinding teeth - Bruxism
I am not sure if this belongs somewhere else, so let me know if I made a mistake!
My Bunny has been complaining of grinding her teeth all night long, to awaken with a really hurt jaw, teeth and head. She has recently taken x for the first time in a year. On the other hand the teeth grinding has gone one for some time. Her boyfriend says that it wakes him up at night! Bunny tried a guard but her mouth is small and it is rather uncomfortable. Does anyone have any tips?

Re: Jaw Hurts, Help!!
Magnesium supplements (available from health food/supplement shops) can help relax jaw muscles/prevent bruxia when using MDMA. Chaz, from Chaz and Dave, says from his own experience it really helps.

Re: Jaw Hurts, Help!!
Chaz has used them semi-regularly in the past to combat migraines, and found that for the few months he was taking them, the Magnesium he was taking also relaxed his jaw and facial muscles if he took MDMA*, so it sounds like that taking these regularly would help your tooth grinding problem. Not a guarantee though, it might not be as effective if the tooth grinding is more of a subconcious/nervous tick than a conscious habit.
*Now, chaz likes the gurn and welcomes it as all part of the MD experience. He's a bit strange like that. |

Re: Jaw Hurts, Help!!
The chattering/tightening/clenching of the jaws whilst on MDMA. Chaz likes the way himself and other people talk whilst only semi in control of what their lower jaw gets up to.

Re: Jaw Hurts from grinding teeth - Bruxism
once watched an episode of ER (or some imilar program) where a doctor asked if the patient had any jaw ache, he then went into cardiac arrest. could a chemical imbalance, such as sodium or magnesium be a contributer to SWIM's jaw ache? or is it just the mechanics of the all night gurn after using E?

Re: Jaw Hurts from grinding teeth - Bruxism
I don't really know what happened, but it was like my teeth didn't fit together. Couldn't bite all the way down or open all the way up. I wore a mouth piece for a bit and that seemed to help. I can eat again.

Re: Jaw Hurts from grinding teeth - Bruxism
two questions:
what is an appropriate amount to take to prevent jaw clenching/grinding? how soon before the substance is injested should the magnesium be taken? the drifter hit his teeth together so hard last time, it loosened one of them for a week...he doesnt want to risk any further damage. |

Re: Jaw Hurts from grinding teeth - Bruxism
My friends would just take one MG supplement about an hour before they dropped. My friend doesn't remember the dose of the supplement but any standardized supplement ought to do the trick.
