Ghb Ghv Gvl

Hi. SWIM has been looking around for a while now gathering as much information as they can about GHB and its analogues.
SWIM is particularly interested in finding out the attributes of GHV and GVL in relation to sleep, gh release and dopamine dump.
In particular, will GHV/GVL result in a short (3-4) hour deep sleep with a dopamine dump at the end of it that will result in the user waking up and feeling refreshed?
Would the above seem a fair reflection of GHB effects?
Is GHV/GVL legal or illegal and what is it?
SWIM is also researching polyphase sleep patterns and would be interested to know if anyone or SWIY feels that any of the above substances could be used in the short term to encourage and aid the onset of poly phase sleep.
NB Polyphase sleep is where you sleep for no more than 4 hours in every 24.
SWIM is particularly researching a pattern of three 20 minute naps per day with a core sleep of 3 hours (4 at most) at night.
Any comments or any experiences at all? I would be really grateful if you could post.
All the best, swimmer.

Welcome to the forum. Excellent first post althought I'm not sure about SWIY's desire to achieve polyphasic sleep!

Re: Ghb Ghv Gvl

This sounds like a very interesting topic. However it calls for a fair bit of knowledge in subjects that have yet to be covered in this forum.

I would like to suggest that maybe you could search on the internet for research papers that cover some aspects of the above query which we could then analyse and discuss.

Malsat began a good thread on the "GHB Rebound" effect you mention with regards to sudden waking after administration of large doses of GHB, you might want to check it out too: http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43390

His theory was based around it actually being a withdrawal issue. But there are still a lot of questions in respect of dosage range and duration. The effects of taking a single dose of GHB versus multiple dose administration and the subsequent effects on the dopamine and GABA systems.

P.S. Welcome to the forum!

Re: Ghb Ghv Gvl

SWIM assumes SWIY is intrested in the compounds for the core sleep?
Good luck with the Uberman routine, as polyphase sleep patterns are called, if SWIY embarks on one.
Anyway, SWIM uses GBL to get sleep ready for work in the morning.
He doses at 1 AM, is asleep by 2, and wakes up nearly bang on 6 oclock.
That is providing he doesnt stay up eating with the munchies.

Re: Ghb Ghv Gvl

SWIM thanks you for the the welcome and replies.
I was searching relentlessly for a few days before I came here and information is very scarce for what SWIM was looking at. Even Erowids experience vault is pretty empty and doesn't really pay any attention to sleep effects/dopamine dump.
I'd be interested to know how much SWIY sleeps per week Spamuel, just 4 hours per night? Catch up at the weekend?
Cheers.

Re: Ghb Ghv Gvl

It depends really, sometimes SWIM has an extra 40 minutes or so on the train home from work, but yes, he does like a lie in on the weekend sometimes.
