Natural Nootropics (memory enhancers)

Are there any natural nootropics you can order online? I here that sinicuiche can help with memory, but prolonged use can have an adverse effect on memory.

Are there any natural entheo's that haven been proven scientifically to help with memory?

Re: Natural Nootropics (memory enhancers)

Ginkgo's good, also other adaptogens like Rhodiola, Gotu Kola, Aswaganda, Bramhi, Ginseng etc. Most of these need to be taken daily for at least two weeks for decent results.

For pronounced instant effects try and find a supplier of Celestrus oil capsules.

Re: Natural Nootropics (memory enhancers)

A mix of ginseng and rhodiola taken daily has really woken me up, enhanced my memory and "normalized" me.
For lack of a better word.

Re: Natural Nootropics (memory enhancers)

Here are some of my thoughts about various herbs I've tried and used over the years . . .

Gingko: Too long to take an effect, but I still take it. Seems to have reduced my blood pressure, so I'll continue it. (Brand: Trader Joe's)

St. Johns Wort: A total joke. I've invested hundreds of $$ in this herb and months and months. Does very little -- notice a TINY bit of mood increase. (Brands: Several including Jarrow and the german brand that was in most of the clinical trials, as well as Nature Made).

Rhodiola: Absolutely remarkable. Tried for weeks/months with a store brand and got not much, similar to St. Johns. When I found the good brands, it made immediate impact on mood, energy. (Brands: Verde Botanica, Mind Body & Spirit).

Re: Natural Nootropics (memory enhancers)

anything else to add?
SWIM made good experiences with b. monnieri.
what about galantamine, is it recommendable? side-effects?

are there other good enhancers, apart from adaptogens?

Re: Natural Nootropics (memory enhancers)

whcih brand is best for rhodiola?
St Johns... SWIM would def. not put that into the nootropics category. And just for the record: as an AD its overrated. way overrated.
