ALCAR + Soya lecithin with Piracetam?

SWIM recently started taking piracetam (4800 mgs spaced over three doses throughout the day) and has, of course read that choline/lecithin help when taking piracetam. SWIM was wondering just what 'choline' was. Swim can't find it anywhere on its own, but SWIM ready that ALCAR is an adequate subsitute.
So should swim take just ALCAR with piracetam? Just the Lecithin? Both? How about dosage?
Thanks

No-- it's the other way around, ALCAR requires a choline donor so if you take it with piracetam you should up your choline dosage. If these the three are all that swiy has then yes, just take all of them.

Re: ALCAR + Soya lecithin with Piracetam?

Okay, so when you say up choline dosage, you mean up the soy lecithin? They're 1200mg caps and it says to take one daily; I'm guessing take two? I was taking 1000 mgs a day of ALCAR.
But that's not all I'm taking. I take: 900 mgs daily of Adrafinil (600 in the morning, 300 in the afternoon), 9 mgs of hydergine (3 mgs in the morning, afternoon and evening), 1000 mgs trytophan (500 in the morning 500 at night), and 800 mgs sam-e (400 in the morning 400 at night).

Sorry if I seem a bit curious! I'm new to the whole nootropic thing and I want to do it right. On the other hand, I've been taking ALCAR for quite some time and haven't had any noticeable benefit from it, so it looks as though now it'll just cause more trouble than it's worth. Should I just discontinue it and take 1200 mgs soya lecithin?
Thanks.

If you don't get a "choline deficiency" type headache and neck tension then that's a decent inidicator that your choline at a decent level. ALCAR is immediatly noticable for most people, I can notice 100mg pretty well even. It's very useful and has a lot of solid research to back it up, but your mileage may vary so do what you will. You just have to feel out what works for you.
