Is Dolophine (Methadone) Better?

I get a monthly dose of 60 ct. 30mg Morhine SR tabs and 40ct. 15 mg morphine fast action release tabs from my doctor. I used to get 224 5mg Oxycodones but they really stopped working.


My doctor offered to replace my Morphine with Dolophine (Methadone) but I wanted to know what the difference was from someone who has actually used both.


Is it longer acting? Better? All opiates give a high, and Oxycodone was more noticiable than Morphine to me, but very short lasting.

I have discovered that Dolophine was made during World War II by German Chemists due to the lack of Morphine. It is a Synthetic Morphine and such I was curious as to it having a more cerebral effect than pure Mophine. Is this true? Thanks.
