favorite cigars
For all of you cigar connoisseurs our there, what is your favorite smoke? I, myself, really enjoy acid cigars quite a bit but I also smoke Don Diegos, Diamond Crown and Onyx. Once in awhile I will smoke flavored cigars and cigarellos, I got a box of wise guy irish cream cigarellos that I've yet to try.
Also, do you have any unique cigar smoking rituals or anything of that nature? It seems every avid cigar smoker has some practice all they're own. The only thing I do is chomp on the end of the cigar when it's almost done. It gives you some extra flavor and alittle nicotine as well. |

I enjoy the Macs because i like a mellow, but full
bodied, smoke. Big ring sizes are over rated because unless you smoke it all in one sitting, you have to either cut the stoggie in half or end up reusing a stale gunk-filled stub. YUCK!!!</font> I buy a small tin of cigarette-sized Macs and they work just fine. Every time I smoke its a fresh one (uncut so no leaf chips in your mouth) and they go great with coffee. No big rings for me, please. |

Hehe, I know what you mean. Are you talking about cigarellos? I mainly have been smoking those lately as well, affordable, pleasent taste, and they won't stink up your cloths to bad.

oh i so hear you on the big ones...i prefer the medium sized, yet decently long cigars...i cant stand the idea of putting anything out, weather it be a cigar, cigarrete, joint, ect...and re-lighting the burnt paper later on. it's so very gross. and i know all about the macs in the tin..i believe it's a 10 count for about 15 bucks?...mmmmmm...looks like i'm gonna blow 15 bucks today, thanks a lot woodman

Dark, you might want to try a Zino from a Davidoff
shop. They're pricey, but very good. Like macs, they come in a claro wrapper and are an easy smoke, better than macs. I picked up a few boxes of Romeo y Juliett along with a couple Cohibas in Hong Kong, and even though the cubans are strong (they even gave me a dizzy head-rush), they are not as flavorful as the Zino's. Only thing is that i haven't ever come across cig-sized Zino's so if I ever want one I have to pay a ridiculous charge to the Davidoff store in Waikiki for a large stogie that I will cut in half and enjoy only twice. That is why I haven't had a one in years, though in my opinion they ARE the best, so if you enjoy Macs then you MUST try Zino. For me, Macs are just the next best thing; more economical and easier to get. |

I really don't understand the point of smoking cigars, I have smoked
many of them, but they seem a bit of a waste just smoking them for the taste and not inhaling etc... |

Quote:
My favorite one I have tried is the Fuente Fuente Opus X Perfecxion X, it is completely legal to buy in the U.S. and is claimed by many critics to rival the finest Cubans. On the east coast it is not all too common but it is available, I have heard the west coast has to pay high prices to get ahold of them. |

Re: favorite cigars
I like Arcturo Fuentes. nice but expensive.
Also swisher sweet cigarillos, you can inhale cigarillos but you'll get one hell of a headrush so much that you cant walk properly for a few minutes and a nice euphoric "high" along with it. I generally dislike inhaling, bad for the lungs and you can get a good buzz going just by holding the smoke in your mouth. oops sorry for bumping a dead thread found it on a search. Re: favorite cigars
Monte Cristos, sit back in the lounge chair and just light up, let the smoke swirl in your mouth, then, slowly, exhale, watching it come out in that silver wisp that looks as though you've been breathing fire all day, then just look at it, and say "That's a fine cigar."
As I live in Ireland but travel alot, it's easy for me to get Monte Cristos. Also, Siwm rolls joints with Monte Cristios. |

Re: favorite cigars
SWIM likes to smoke Punch, Fuentes, and has recently tried the Iguana. SWIM gets alot of his smokes through Thompsons, as the local stores don't have acceptable humidors (SWIMs will hold about 150), SWIM REALLY hates buying an 8-10 dollar Cigar and finding out that its dried out and/or stale. With the improvement in the 2004-2005 Dominican crop, almost any Dominican in a Connetticut Broadleaf is acceptable to SWIM.

Re: favorite cigars
Personally, SWIM likes them. The taste and smell are unique and they look cool as hell. Sort of like a Clint Eastwood type of thing, only bigger. I believe Thompsons also sells Iguanas in cheroot form as well, but I don't have my last catalog handy to make sure.

Re: favorite cigars
DON TOMAS = The dirtiest nastiest, longest lasting cigars money can buy. Easily will take you 45 minutes to smoke. They burn my mouth and taste like butt, but it is entertaining to smoke so dam much tobacco!

Re: favorite cigars
J. Cortès mostly
Any Cubans are generally too harsh for me, so no Partagas or anything for me. I prefer cigars with a darker cover, since they're generally a bit sweeter. Sometimes you can even see the natural sugar crystals. |
