New tools for THC and X??

Okay my brother just came from his drug and alchohol class and he says they were showing him the new "tools" for testing for drugs that recently came out. He said they had a flashlight doohickey that you shine down someone's throat. If the person has been smoking pot in the last four hours then are supposed to be green spots in the back of their throat that light up. Also this magical tool can be used to check if ecstasy has been consumed. If x has been used then something like a blue crescent is supposed to show up. This sounds like absolute bullshit to me. Has anyone heard of anything like this, it is supposed to be new, apparently?

It has to be BS. There aren’t any properties in the chemical
makeup of X for it to just “magically” light up with any wave-length of light
exposed to it. And you can bet X labs are not implementing light-reactive
chemicals, which are not economical, in the drugs which they cut so often for
greater profits so forget that possibility. There are test kits out there which
test for MDMA-like characteristics to identify pills of purity but I find it incredibly
difficult to make a reagent that will not only identify the composition but
also emit light, under lets say a black light when exposed. Not only that but
after 4 hours it’ll be highly difficult for your saliva to not have dissolved
any remains of that pill you swallowed.





This is based on reasoning through my current knowledge of
chemistry (which is not anything of significance) but if anyone else know
otherwise please post. After all innovations from time to time due come to
amaze me at points.
