I was watching trutv (the new court tv) on DishNetwork the other nite... there was a story about a plastic surgeon and his girlfriend. Long story short, girlfriend dies, doctor is brought up on murder charges for injecting her with crushed percocet pills.
They said that she didnt OD, the doctor was convicted of "involuntary manslaughter" rather than murder 2nd degree.
What happened was over time the "filler" in the pills, not the acetominophen, nor the oxycodone, but again the FILLER that is non-soluable in water just passes through the digestive tract, but when injected the microscopic particles have no way of escaping the body and they collected in the minute capillaries within the girlfriends lungs. She stopped breathing, cardiac arrest...
From what the show stated, shooting up crushed pills in the short term doesnt hurt you, but cumulatively over time they clog up the capillaries in your lungs.
So for SWIMs out there, might wanna think about that?
