Wow...I haven't been here in the longest time. I missed it! Oh, well...but, anyways...I noticed when I smoke out of my pipe, I get a pretty good high. Out of a blunt too, it's okay....but, when it comes to smoking a joint, I seriously don't feel a thing....Is it cuz my friends are wrapping it too tight??? Anyone out there, having this problem???

It could be that the joint is too tight. When I make joints too
tight, they don't "pull" very well, and a lot of the smoke escapes from the tip of the joint. It takes some practice to get the joint tight enough to keep it's shape, without packing it so tightly that you can pull the smoke through. When you smoke these joints, do you notice yourself inhaling a lot of smoke? Or maybe your friends are just using bad marijuana... ![]() |

I was thinking about your question some more, and after doing some
research, I came across an article about marijuana use on www.howstuffworks.com. Here's a short excerpt from the article, detailing some of the methods of using marijuana: "Cigarette - Also called a joint, dried marijuana buds are rolled into a cigarette. Approximately 10 percent to 20 percent of the THC is transferred into the body when smoking a joint. </span>Pipe - You've probably seen people smoke pipes of tobacco, but these pipes are also used to smoke marijuana. About 40 percent to 50 percent of the THC is transferred into the body when using a pipe. </span>Bong - These are water pipes that typically have a long tube rising out of a bowl-shaped base. Water pipes trap the smoke until it's inhaled, raising the amount of THC taken in." So, apparently when smoking a joint, only 10 to 20 percent of the THC is absorbed by the body. It looks like a pipe or bong is much more efficient. </span> |

Yeah, my friends get high from it...but, my tolerance level is high now...so it takes a lot for me to feel anything....BUT, I do think that's it too. The joint is probably too tight... |

The other point about smoking spliffs as aposed to pipes or bongs is that if you are putting tobacco in aswell you need to be putting a lot more bud in the spliff than the tobbacco, the tobbaco is just there to keep the spliff burning nicely and if there is not enough bud in it then you arent gonna get wrecked. I would say you should put around half a gram in your spliffs to get the best high

If you roll them too tight, you wont be able to draw through and the thing will just stay lit at the tip, if it stays lit at all.
also, I seem to be the highest about 5-10 minutes after my last hit. |
