one-step-happiness? (xLSD)

something I heard.I'm not experienced with xtc,so I can't say if the person who said it was correct,or not.

"You know, the difference between LSD and xtc is that if you take some LSD in front of your mother dying on a hospital bed,you won't feel good.If you had, instead, taken a xtc pill, you would be happy.xtc makes no sense,it's illusion itself"

Re: one-step-happiness? (xLSD)

MY friend told me this once, these are his words not mine

"I was rolling on ecstasy at a rave and I had brought about 20 people with me to this rave. I warned everybody, If you are on any anti-depressants, MAOIs, or SSRIs, DON'T TAKE ANYTHING! AND ESPECIALLY ANY DRINKS FROM PEOPLE! Well one person accepted a drink from someone and she took antidepressants. She ended up passing out. I found her and I was still smiling hysterically because the music was great and there were lightshows everywhere. Even while I was instructing people how to take the subways back home, I wasn't sad or worried at all. I was happy and wanted to keep dancing. It was impossible to feel sad in this state"

that guy is one crazy raver.

You would first need to know the dosage being used. High doses of LSD can send you into lala land where you need to lay down.
And as for XTC, we first would need to verify it is in fact just MDMA. I'm sure that is assumed in this case but I dislike assumptions.

MDMA may allow you to communicate and say things that you hold inside that were previously restricted for a number of reasons.
MDMA may help you accept that people do die and ultimately we as animals do in fact have a lifespan that does reach an end.
MDMA may help you appreciate the time you HAVE had with your mother and forgive her (if that's the case) for troubles in the past and probably seek forgiveness (if that's the case).

LSD can do these things as well.
LSD does not make you feel good or bad, it is a reflection and sometimes amplification of yourself.
LSD may allow you to pull out memories that were hidden deep within and communicate thoughts and memories long forgotten.

Of course, it is possible that a person that does not understand how either of these drugs work could venture off into different and overwhelming worlds.
It's not uncommon that people will take LSD and go into uncontrolled laughing fits or fits of despair.
Set and setting would apply and yes the thoughts of your mother departing could trigger episodes that would consume many. Again, through training and understanding a person can use LSD as a tool and not become the tool of the drug.

The person you made that statement is not knowledgeable on these drugs or basing them on bad situations, in the case of LSD.
MDMA does not make the passing of a mother a happy experience. It may make the last moments happy because of the life experiences between the two.

HOWEVER, I am not saying that we would or could not find scenarios where your statements wouldn't become valid. That would be like basing a sky diver's chute not opening and dying and then saying anyone who sky dives will suffer the same tragedy. Especially if it was their own lack of training and not the fault of the equipment.
