First time tramadol user

Hi, i've got tramadol 50mg. I have some experience with codeine and i enjoy the calm, relax and also euphoric effect of it. Beeing tramadol a new drug for me, what should i expect of the effects? And what is the dosage i should take for the first time?

First off, I'm sure YOU aren't taking tramadol but SWIY is

But SWIM reports that he took a total of 550mg of tramadol yesterday. He started with a dose of 100mg, then bumped up 50mg every hour or so until he only had 200mg left, and then he took the whole 200mg 6 hours after already taking the initial first dose.

But the effects can be described as calm, relaxed, euphoric, hyper, appreciation for music.

If SWIM had to compare it to anything, it would be a mix of hydrocodone and adderal. lol

Hi Lucid Dreamer (great name by the way! ) Thanks a lot for your reply, and for the note about SWIM...... to be honest i'm new here and i've been seeing a lot of "SWIM's" but i haven't got the meaning of it yet... "someone who i met" maybe???? LOL I haven't got a clue, sorry!
I understand at least that i'm not suppose to refer on the first person right?
Anyway, SWIM had the first tramadol experience today. Lots of posts refer to tramadol in a negative way and desapointed but SWIM disagrees. SWIM has a lot experience with codeine and expected to be a bit the same effects but it's not. Even so, SWIM found it actually cooler because of the very relax and calm feeling, but also euphoric and creative as well. Compared to codeine, SWIM liked it more because it's more peacefull... codeine can make you feel very nervous and agravated, with tramadol SWIM hasn't feel any of those negative feelings.
Just one more question: is tramadol compatible with diazepam (valium)??

valium and tramadol are alright to mix as long as swiy does not overdo it. mixing an opiate an a downer in high doses can be dangerous however a moderate dose should not pose any problems.

People complain about the "speediness" of tramadol, but that is perfect mix with carisoprodol or any other downer . Its dangerous though, and SWIM isn't allowed to recommend it. SWIM chugs energy drinks as well though, even though that his probably hard on his heart.
