Paraphernalia - Help on bowl cleaning/resin balls?

Hey, this is my first post here.

A friend asked me,

"Whenever I'm low on bud or my dealers are all out, usually I just use a paper clip and try to scrape the resin from my bowl and make resin balls.

But I heard that putting your bowl in hot or boiling water will clear it out and you can use the leftover resin to make even bigger resin balls.

I tried this, and after three days of drying, I was able to scrape enough resin from the container and make a fairly good resin ball.

But I was also told to let your bowl soak in rubbing alcohol and drying that out instead.

I'm very confused. Also, the water didn't clear my bowl out 100%, there are many places I can't reach the resin or scrape it out.

Does anyone have any tips to get the most resin out quickly as possible?"

SWIM has found that nothing works quite as well as a good ol' paper clip and perseverance. Sorry SWIM couldn't be much help.

SWIM usually just heats his bowl and then takes a small knife or paperclip and gets all of it out. It's usually pretty easy actually, he doesn't see why it would be necessary to go through a 3 day procedure.

Also, make sure to use SWIM in your posts instead of self-incriminating, mate.

small pocket type knive always works great for swim. Used to scam swims friends older brothers bowls and clean them for him. Also used to pack hash throughout the pipe for later when cleaning.
