Marijuana + Ritalin

So SWIM totally collapsed yesterday, SWIM didn't do nothing different than what he normally does, except maybe in a bit more quantity.

SWIM has been taking Ritalin for concentration for about a month or two, but SWIM wasn't happy with the loss of coolness that the MPH takes on someone, and found that Ritalin and a joint can be quite a good combination.

SWIM wants to know if anybody uses to mix both drugs, since SWIM found it very very good and stimulant, and keeping the cool levels very good.
Yesterday night SWIM would be up for about 30 hours or something, having done about 50mg of Ritalin in that time, and smoking about 4/5 joints (SWIM normally smokes with other people so it may be something between 4 and 5).

Anyway, after snorting the last 10mg (SWIM took the rest of the pills orally), and smoking the joint (this was about 4am), SWIM totally collapsed in thoughts, and threw up like 3 or 4 times before falling in a 12 hour uninterrupt sleep (and very comfortable, SWIM must say).

(SWIM thinks that this could have happened due to lack of water, since he was sweating like hell before throwing up.)

But SWIM hasn't much experience in this matter so it would be very helpful if someone you know has ever mixed weed and ritalin, and the possible effects of that combo.

SWIM finds it particularly pleasing, and way more stimulant than coffee and cigarettes.

so today swim took 2 10mg ritalin tabs orally and 2 more 10's crushed in a zig zag. swim also ate 2 marijuana cookies he made himself. (the cookies were 2 of a 12 batch made up of 1 pound of good butter). anyway things were pretty normal for the first 30-45 mins and then swim started feeling a buzzing around his toes and felt a wonderful come up. it was almost like E but not as intense/love-everyone/thing but just the the speedyness of ritalin and the stoned bliss of a cookie. swim loves it and plans to try it again. maybe swim will add a some hydrocodone. no more than 10-20mgs... swim likes the sound of that.

Probably dehydration and low blood sugar overall, but particularly in the brain. Methylphenidate appears to stimulate regional brain glucose metabolism. There is some evidence to suggest MJ does the same, while lowering blood sugar overall. The combined effect is a deprivation of glucose required for normal neurological and physiological processes. Add dehydration, and you've basically got a hangover.

In general expect the combination not to be rewarding (no synergy) and to give symptoms of low blood sugar the following day. (Based on swim's own experience, plus frequent use of a glucometer.) Swim also finds that THC combined with methylphenidate increases short-term tolerance to methylphenidate -- probably the glucose issue. But if the user insists, have some bananas, oranges and gatorade. It worked for swim during self-experimentation.

SWIM used to smoke green to come down ritalins but he found it actually made him more hyper and stimulated.

SWIM has done this combination before and i must say it is the most unpleasent feeling ever, throwing up a lot, dazed and confused feeling, feeling like you have taken something totally unrelated to what you have because you are way to smashed to think that these did this to you, you might feel acutally quite good but your too worried about what the hell is going on to appreciate it, this combo basically causes the worst whitey you've ever had. as SWIY SWIM has done this after snorting ritalin then smoking weed, sometimes having alcohol before aswell maikng it even worse, SWIM doesnt know exactly why this happens but could take a guess that ritalin is inhibiting dopamine reuptake then when your smoking weed you increase the dopamine level higher and its reuptake is inhibited also so you get an sort of dopamine overdose in the brain because more and more is being produced but the mechanism to slow it down or stop it being produced has been removed, the result being you get totally mashed up like never before, SWIM found this most unpleasurable and took him a while to work iout it was due to the ritalin and not that he had some killa-weed, SWIM would expect most people would find this very uncomfortable too. interestingly SWIM wonders if this is only due to snorting ritalin specifically as when taken oral with weed this doesnt normally happen.

SWIM tried this combination once before. SWIM thought it was awesome. SWIM felt like he was actually in the video game that he was playing (GRAW 2 for XBox 360). Unfortunately SWIM can't do this much because of work drug tests.

SWIM smoked a half o between 4 people and also took a 40MG Ritalin capsul... pretty crazy. Extreme concentration, to the point where everything except for the object swim looked at was blurry. swims mind was also racing... the ritalin helped figure out tough life situations, but since swim was stoned, it was just creativity to the max. swim liked to let his mind flow... music also set the stage for swims mood.

When you throwup, your body is trying to purge....purge an impurity, and it is a healthy reaction, and a sign that SWIY have exceeded the limits.

SWIM recommends not abusing Methylphenidate to stay awake for 30hours, as this is detrimental to your sleep cycles and will take time to recover fully from this.

Nevertheless, combining MPH with Marijuana is used often, when one is thinking faster than they can write/type/speak...etc. It is definitely a therapeutical combination, especially to induce hunger that is lost from taking MPH. As such respect the fact that food=energy, and SWIY should try to have a food supplement or equivilent (Slim-Fast for example) that has necessary components to keep your body preforming at peak level.

swim had just the same thing like 4 years ago when he started talking ritalin. the first day on it swim went smoking a joint with a friend of his after school (around the time swims ritalin stops working). he was smoking on a balcony somewhere and suddenly swim felt really light headed so he went off of the balcony and went sitting on a bench when he suddenly passed out and smacked his head on a stone.. he woke up in his own puke.. after that swim never had the problem again when he smoked around that time. swim's body just had to get used to te combination of weed kicking in while the ritalin stops working.. so don't worry swim!

Swim here smokes weed and takes ritalin. Very pleasurable to swIm. Swim thinks you just need to slow down and take it one step at a time. Get comfortable with the ritalin then smoke a small bowl. Helps swim relax a bit from being too speedy from Ritas.

totally get the talkativeness, almost to the point u know ur annoying. swim mixes the two often, sometimes getting as pleasant result, others being totally overwhelmedf with exhaustion and others spent puking. swm is there right now, with alcohol and hit all 3 stages at different points today. the last being sickness. thank goodness swim has an awesome husband to [ick them up tonight!

Hi all. im not sure how the drug culture works in the USA or in other parts of the world or even other parts of the country (UK) but SWIM took 230mg of equasym, (methylphenidate hydrochloride like ritalin) over the course of 3hours and smoking considerable cannabis 1/4 Oz (we use tobacco in the uk so prob not as strong).

Swim also sat up all night talking to a cat, sparking a lighter till his thumb blistered, and tripping out on every noise heard. Swim also lost his appetite for about a week and seriously lost a lot of sleep over the proceeding few days.

SWIM reccomends that no-one follows that dosage

swim smokes about 3-4 times a month at the least... and smokes at least 4 bowls, 2 blunts, or 2 bongs worth. Nugs only. usually trainwreck. swims high is always huge and swim REALLY mellows out. swim does adderall when not on pot, but seems to wind up getting smoked up after snorting like 50mg ritalin. it's the WORST high. swim always starts with a tingling in the scalp and back of the arms, and it eventually moves through the whole body. oddly enough, whenever on both swim seems to be on a putt as well...(driving while smoking) swims ENTIRE body feels like a vibrator. it's incredibly unpleasant. also, swim gets this "doomed" feeling, like he's going to die. not to mention swim gets a strobe effect. everything moves REAL slow, and in frames, then speeds up, then back down in HUGE differentials.. its scary as fuck. & when swim finally sleeps, swim will wake up in the middle of the night with the most unpleasant irritability...then he's got to go do AEROBICS to wear himself out to go back to bed lmao.

long story summed, DONT MIX THE TWO.
