Any SWIYs sometimes think the social/leisure money they spend on coke would be better spent on something more tangible?

For example do SWIYs sometimes look back after doing an eight ball and think fcuk I could have bought a new pair of shoes or 'whatever' with the dough SWIYs just done on the coke?

SWIM sometimes thinks what a waste of money, SWIM could of bought such and such with the money he/she has just blown on blow

At the moment SWIM is deciding on whether to get a quater or a new pair of jeans and a shirt.

Quarter Oz or G? And yeah, SWIM occasionly regrets it, knowing that SWIM could've got something that he really wants, or could've put it in the bank. But then, whats the point in saving all your life to end up dead? Enjoy life, you only get one go at it!

Depends on your social economic state SWIY.

It can be an either or for SWIM, sometimes he/she thinks no he/she will spend the money he/she was going to spend on cocaine on a 'material' item others, he/she thinks fcuk it she/he will have an 1/8 or a 1/4 Ounce thanks very much!

Often though he/she thinks what a twat as he/she could have bought something useful!

Saying that for SWIM as he/she gets older there are just some social events he/she would not want to attend if not using coke - so he/she gueses it's swings and round-abouts for the 'Oldest Swinger in Town!'

no shit:P Cocaine IS a waste of money! If one does 1gr a month he save for a trip or smt. Do 1gr a week and you are waisting what could be the payments of a new car or even a house.

And the worst thing is, if one CAN afford cocaine AND everything else in his life, then the risk of getting addicted to the point of no return is extreme.

as robin williams said once "cocaine is gods way of telling you you have too much money" Swim would add that its gods way of telling you you have too much money and a very shallow life.

There ARE ways of making cocaine a cheap experience though (and swim is not suggesting dealing, thats plain dumb)

SWIM thinks that if you spend $100 on Cocaine and then regret it later, that SWIY may have an addiction. SWIM was the same exact way with Diacetylmorphine. New sweatshit, pants and shoes or 3.5 grams of Heroin? Of course SWIM did not regret buying the Heroin untill it was all gone... then SWIM felt stupid.

SWIY should buy the Jeans/Shirt. You will be alot happier. Plus, Cocaine is good in moderation. Just some food for thought.

You could say you would still have a pair of shoes, or a pair of pants but you also still have an experience, nothing can replace that.

Cocaine doesn't last long enough to go out and buy tons of it. Why would swiy not prefer to buy entertainment in a different drug? If swiy is feeling guilty then maybe it's time to be more responsible with the money. But i would not condemn a person who had enough money to blow that hit and hit that lick because life goes to fast, experience is all you can really get out of it and everyones varies.

Personally I have never done cocaine. I didn't use swim for a purpose here because honestly I never have given it the first try.

My philosophy towards drugs after i realized what a addictive personality i have is this, If you dont try it you cant miss it.

Swim will add this tho, if there is a such thing as a marijuana addict, he definitely is one, and a hell of a big huge marijuana addict at that. CHIEF SMOKER you should call him, because he has his on problems. But swim never feels bad after spending money on pot, because the pot will bring more joy than wasting 20 bucks to eat out and wasting time when he could be smoking instead. Swim is so bad that he doesn't even feel guilty to go hungry just so he can put a extra 20$ with it to get more.

Yeah, SWIM does this after the fact all of the time. $60 just disappears in swims nose over the course of a couple of hours.

Hopefully what I'm about to say won't fall foul of the "no prices" rule (nice Mr Benga) but my friend SWIM budgets what he can afford to spend each month on Cola taking into account food, mortgage, flowers for Mrs Klaatu, etc But looking at it as an annual figure my friend could have changed his car for a much newer model had he not have chosen to spend his money on certain substances.

SWIM has gone through a grand in a couple of days on coke (easy). When SWIM was addicted to crack-cocaine her (and her partner) sold televisions, stereos, DVD recorders, VCRs, etc to fund their habit. She is really ashamed of herself looking back, but the real scumbags are the dealers who had no qualms about comming to the flat and leaving with a television in their arms. The small quantity of drugs left on the coffee table provided a couple of hours solace before the comedown and realisation of what they had done. SWIM has been clean since the 1st December and hopes to stay that way. SWIM and her boyfriend are slowly starting to rebuild their lives. SWIM has just bought a playstation and is over the moon about it! (SWIM has previously sold four). This ones for keeps though.............
In SWIMs opinion any money spent on coke is a waste of money.

SWIM has been using Pot for a while and did coke for the first time last summer, however he understands how many people get hooked on it so easily and see's how amazing of a substance coke is. (amazing because it makes nearly everyone who uses it "fiend"...dabbing their finger on the table for more...to get that last "numbie"...that last bit on the end of their cigarette)...

However, SWIM has learned to moderate his cocaine use through the use of LSD (which is SO much cheaper here in Philly). He finds that every time he trips, he is able to realistically look at his coke use (with out justifying anything), and never uses more than one day at a time...(thinks this is the best way to do coke...binge out one night, and chill for a while)...

Does anyone else share that philosophy of using...(buy a gram or four....binge out with some friends, and be done for a good long while, while the body recovers?)???

Ah...SWIM Digressed...the price of blow definitely helps keep him and his friends from using too much (though, unfortunately (in this case), they have more than enough to blow on drugs...no pun intended).....and they all keep each other honest about their coke usage, mainly because they've seen so many people's lives ruined by the drug.


(ps, sorry if this post is tough to read...someone just did a cold water extraction on Coedine from spain, where it comes as alka-seltzer type tablets OTC with 30mgs/tab....ahhhhhh)

In essence SWIM feels that amongst SWIYs there is agreement that cocaine is a bloody waste of money! However there are lots of other 'Pleasure' activities that cost a lot and offer little in material return.

This is not a thread about addiction or social desperation, just a reminder for discussion that cocaine can be bought in the same way as other material/tangible leisure products.

Anything has the potential get go out of control, shopping, drinking, gambling etc. (SWIM has blown a large wedge at the tables more than once and thought what a twat! But only in the sense that it means he/she could then not afford to go out socialising again that week)

Sometimes it is better to become un attached and live in the now - not worrying if things are a waste of money (As long as SWIY or SWIM can afford it and can keep things in perspective)

At least if you live in New York, London or another major metropolis using cocaine when out at a club is probably cheaper than drinking. Want to talk about wasting money, people will often spend $500+ on bottle service in Manhattan for a single night.

Money has never been an issue for swim when it comes to cocaine. I can make a gram of very high quality cocaine last for a month if I want to. A little tip to those starting out, when you're doing your first line go as small as possible. Keep your tolerance and threshold levels very low. I can still milk a gram for 30 good lines that keep me more than happy

MY advice for SWIY is buy cheaper clothes and if SWIY wants something (to go on a trip, to save for a car) then put money away in a certain account and dont allow SWIY to spend it on cocaine. But in general,for SWIM at least, X amount of dollars spent on cocaine is a better buy than X amount of dollars spent on material items that you really dont need in the first place.

That is generally how SWIM does cocaine too. But that is really only because of the money issue. If SWIM had a larger disposable income he would do coke A LOT more often.
