Modest Mouse - Float on

Im not a modest mouse fan really, but I watched this video while tripping(high dose) and it was like that song was made for tripping off dxm.

Well, everything or nothing for me. I can get annoying auditory effects
which make it unpleasant to listen to any music at all. Or if I don't
get any auditory effects, I like listening to anything, including music
I usually try hard to avoid. The latter also occurs to me when I've had
a few beers. Of course I still pick something that I'd like anyway.

Well, as for suggestions: what I usually listen to is Fantômas
(especially the Delirium Cordia album), or Buckethead, he's got some
nice albums too which give me just an extra bit of trippy-ness.

On rare occasions I search the internet for a goa-trancestation.

If you wanna mad trip, take 650 to 900mg dxm and listen to Dead Can Dance

download the following tracks from them:

carnival of lights /the human game / this mortal coil / rainbow voice / shadow magnet / mesmerism / pilgrimage of lost children / the spider's stratagem / indoctrination / swans / severance / broken vows / bird / anywhere out of the world / bolero / desert song / in the wake of adversity / the children's toys / enigma of the absolute / flowers of the sea / mephisto / fuaelo / dreams made flesh / kadath / end of a circle...

these are very good ones, just get them and make a cd, play the cd as the dxm is hitting you hard (come up)....but I warn you this is esoteric music (kabbalahrelative)whichwill direct you intoan intense trance state(try to dance on it for a few minutes while peaking you'll see what I mean)...

I spent my all 650mg trip listening to this and with each of their songs I was like possessed by different entities or different energies, each song directing a new energy on me...it was creazy, pure, beautiful, dark, unsaine, luminous, horrible, stunning, well it was MAD.Edited by: genaro

The Unicorns aren't that new.. in fact, they broke up back in February!

Speaking of soundtracks, Gattaca, Pi, and Edward Scissorhands are all really good.

i cant listen to music i dont like it pisses me off, so i listen to trippy music which i do like which i only listen to rap,a good rap song with a trippy beat is My Rap World (remix) by Andre Nickatina, alot of his songs trip me out in the first place, they almost make me high on their own without the dxm.

Personally, I can't listen to music on DXM, it just seems annoying
after awhile (and this is very strange, because I'm a music nut...I'm
actually a DJ).

i usually listen just to rock when im sober but i cant listen to it when on dxm, its just too intense and one time i remember the music kept telling me to die. then i tried techno, some cd by paul van dyke and that shit made me travel, i was flying with my bed over the earth, lol. then i listened to coldplay and it was sooo dreamy and relaxing, everything was just splendid.

i gotta have only my headphones though, if the stereo's on then its gonna piss me off.

Music on Nitrous Oxide

I couldn't find this subject in a search so sorry if this is covered ground, but what's some of the best music to do nitrous to? SWIM finds that anything with J. Garcia playing guitar without lyrics (IE: a Jam) works bestter than anything he's found so far. Let's see what everyone else likes.

I'm sure techno will be thrown around a lot & that's cool. what are specific titles of songs or albums. Or how about bands(humans on instruments without a drum machine.

A lot of Chemical Bro's from their earlier albums make for a really nice intense rush if thats what you're in to. Anything with quality build ups peaking at the right moment does it for me.. Anything glitchy, IDM, minimal also works a treat..

Try Opera, really... Great music to trip to. Classical is always a
goody too. Velvet Underground, a few of The Beatles songs, Deftones,
Floyd... Velvet Acid Christ, Funker Vogt, Assemblage 23... Some of
Cradle of Filth's songs are very nice as well. Nine Inch Nails is also
great to have on during a trip. I hope some of you look into all of
those ).

I find that sitting at my computer watching WMP visualizer while listing to music is the best.

If the music is fast:
-My thoughts speed up
-I feel like i can get something done quick
-Generally a faster feeling.

If the music is slow:
-Everything tends to slow down
-Even my thinking

I must say the most intense music i have heard was while i was watching WMP. It was Screwed & Chopped Mike Jones. HOLY CRAP! When i was listing to it, i was so anxious for the next screwed & chopped word to come out i was geeking out! Great time.

modest mouse, blind mellon, our lady peace, kottonmouth kings, fatboy slim, steve miller band, jefferson airplane/spaceship, led zepplin, pink floyd.... pretty any techno that has a repetitive beat... i feel repetitive beats induce the best cev's.... "tiny cities made of ashes" by modest mouse is a constant on my dxm playlist.
